Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Tell us about yourself: hello!! I'm already here with Dimitri (areadbhoar) and bringing in my second character! I tend to tag on the evenings and weekends, and usually get to tags every 1-2 days - that said, if we're ever working on a thread you need to go faster, let me know and I'll make a priority of it! I'm still WFH so I occasionally have time to tag during the day as well. Outside of RP, I play a lot of FFXIV and other vidya and kind of have a potpourri of varying interests and hobbies! I also have one cat named Merlin, who is technically my roommate's cat but he adopted me, so.

Character Name & Journal: Ann Takamaki (confectionerie)
Tell us about them: Ann is one of the best friends you could ask for. She's loyal and supportive and carries a warm, positive energy, but would cut a bitch for her friends if necessary. She's also kind of a dork and loves sweets, and she's hilariously bad at acting! Ann is coming from near the end of Persona 5 Royal, but spoilers shouldn't really come up in her threads with non-canonmates. In the case that something does come up, I'll be sure to mark for spoilers!
Initial Ideas: Any...thing......which is a cop-out, but also true! Ann can always use more friends her age, but she also doesn't have a lot of older role models in her life, so she could use some of those, too! I'm open to any and all kinds of CR, including negative, if there's someone who Ann just can't get along with. She can be kind of stubborn, soooo. She has Elemental magic and will lean heavily into fire since that's her aligned element from canon, but she could definitely use some help learning to use magic because she's never just flung spells around before. Her familiar is also a pixie (particularly a Persona-flavored one) who is a little bratty and mischievous, so Ann will have her hands full with her!
Favorite Food: gestures to username...Ann loves sweets and desserts! She's especially fond of cakes and crepes but isn't exactly discerning when it comes to confections. Flashbacks to the buffet...
Anything else: I'm happy to keep threads from the TDM as game canon! Also:

Tell us about them: Alphinaud is a young elezen from a family of high standing, and it's very obvious in how he holds himself. Despite this he's a very charismatic individual, noble, and an incredibly studious nerd; magic is his thing so learning something new won't be so daunting a task for him! Back home he dedicates himself to saving the world and all that jazz, and loves sticking his nose into political affairs; while capable of standing his ground in a fight with his magical prowess, Alphinaud much prefers using his words, so if you ever need someone to play diplomat, he's your guy.
Initial Ideas: obligatory cop-out answer here...... Right now I'm just looking to build cr of all kinds, and get a solid network of characters I can consistently play with going! Magic stuff is a given, and once I've gotten my feet a little more wet I wanna delve into ADVENTURE. I wanna poke and prod at all the fun little corners of the setting. Let's cause trouble together!!

Tell us about them: dorothea is a commoner in with a whole gaggle of nobles, originally a member of the black eagles house, though I play her as having been recruited to the golden deer! she's an orphan who spent the first decade of her life as basically a feral child after being orphaned, but her incredible singing voice got her discovered and earned her a place in the opera where she enjoyed a meteoric rise to success. at age 18 she ended up leaving the opera to go to the garreg mach monastery officer's academy, where she hoped to find a loving spouse, but ended up finding five years of war. she's at the tail end of that war now and boy is she tired. she's a proficient mage in the game, and also has an aptitude for swords. dorothea is a little sassy but extremely compassionate. she has low self-esteem and also probably ptsd so be nice to her. or don't, I'm not your boss.

Initial Ideas: this girl needs a break, so she's going to want to relax for a while as she basically relearns all the elemental magic she already knew (fire, thunder) and more. I'd like to take some steps to have her learn to love herself a little bit more. on her list of likes and dislikes, one of her disliked things is "herself" so that's pretty sad. I'd like to have her deal with her ptsd some as well. I enjoy both canon and cross-canon interaction! dorothea is a huge flirt so don't be surprised if she flirts with your character.

Favorite Food: she has several favorite food items, including pasta salad, meat pies, veggie stir fry, cheese gratin, peach sorbet, and fruity pastries. the one food she really seems to hate, though, is fish. every single one of her disliked food items prominently features fish.

Character Name & Journal: Set suetekh (which is just a version of his name shh)
Tell us about them: Okay so Set is an ancient Egyptian war god of deserts, storms, disorder, violence, and foreigners (I can't fit all of this into his display name okay) most famous for murdering his brother for the throne and fighting his nephew Horus for the throne for a long time. But this Set here is from the manga The God of Calamity Wishes for Naught and it's a retelling of the story of the murder of Osiris. Think Maleficent meets ancient Egyptian mythology. Basically, Set's kind of misunderstood and he's a real asshole but there's more going on with the guy. He's from the end of the manga so he's better but he's still got his heaps of issues. Not only is he >:( but he's also :( now.
Initial Ideas: In Set's world, where all of his family had magic and he did not (and this was a Big Deal), Avalon is a lot for him. He wants to master healing as much as possible as quickly as possible! He still thinks somebody messed up and gave him the wrong thing but oh well. It's kind of like Osiris' magic so he wants to know as much as possible :( His default will probably be negative cr lmao but I'd like for Set to have a single friend because he's never really had a friend. But if you want to FIGHT then Set is all ready to throw DOWN. But he's always at 100% so be warned.

I am SO GLAD you apped him, I loved threading with him on the TDM and he seems fascinating! I also had to go hunt down his manga because he was so intriguing and promptly devoured the entire thing in a night I look forward to seeing what else he gets up to here.

Character Name & Journal: Ruby Rose, redifghtinghood
Tell us about them: Ruby is the title heroine of the web series RWBY, which... I doubt needs much of an introduction. While a ball of energy and enthusiasm under normal circumstances, I've pulled her from the end of last season, where things were popping off in fairly unpleasant ways. Even besides that, she's matured a lot since her introduction, and become a fairly capable leader, even if her attempts to be pragmatic or level headed don't always turn out how she'd like. But she's getting there!
Initial Ideas: Honestly, not terribly picky! In spite of trauma after trauma, Ruby's still a very friendly girl who's always up to making friends and allies. She's likely to be FAIRLY focused on their responsibility here, since, well. She left her world in quite a pickle.

Also, her familiar is in the form of a Grimm monster from her own world, so, uh. That's fun, given they basically exist to kill and eat people and her job is to wipe them out wherever they are. :'D

Favorite Food: In spite of RWBY Chibi hammering this joke into the ground SOME IMPRESSIONS THAT MAY BE OUT THERE, Word of God from way back says her favorite food is, in fact, strawberries.

She's a workaholic and slightly stoic character, who's main slogan in life is "For Mondstadt, as always." She's not the happiest to be here because her home just went through some shit involving an angry dragon that she helped deal with, and they're also trying to take care of the aftermath. :| Please be her friend and help her NOT work herself into an Avalon grave. Her familiar is an Anemo Slime, aka a slime ball that's aspected to Anemo, aka air, elements. (And yes, I plan on her using him as ammunition to throw at someone at LEAST once.)
Initial Ideas: First, I'm def down with making the TDM threads canon. (Please tell me she got Venti at least a bit buzzed so she can feel guilty.) Second, I'm open to anything within reason. She'll adopt younger people, and once she gets her magic under control, probably look for reasons and ways to help out everywhere. Possibly work towards a knight title.

Tell us about them: Kotone here puts on a happy front but it's mostly an act, a lot of the time. She's a deeply caring person even if there are things that will put her off, so she tends to be the persistent type when she sees people dealing with something and not opening up. She's relentlessly supportive and positive, to the point it's kind of a problem for her. The girl tries to be everything to everyone, and instead of learning that's not smart, she was basically told "no that's right actually congratulations". Still, she's very friendly and tries very hard to choose joy, and tends to throw herself into as much activity as possible to avoid being alone with her thoughts. She's a very talented cook, as well, specializing in baking and sweets! Let her feed you, pals. Also she's quick to violence if she's annoyed enough or someone's messing with her friends.

She's coming from the end of the game, and... I guess if you want to avoid spoilers for a game from 15 years ago let me know??
Initial Ideas: I'm more than happy to keep her TDM threads! Kotone's used to being a Big Sister Type at younger kids and teens but honestly she could really use older support figures she can trust. Friends in general would be phenomenal, she's super outgoing and sporty so she tends to make friends easily. She's got a lot of stuff that she's bottled up for years and basically never talks about, so she could really use people to actually get past the image she presents to others. But really, I'm fine with whatever! I'd like her to take up music composition and performance here as an outlet, so anyone who could help with that would be delightful.
Favorite Food: Cakes and sweets in general, mostly, but she's also a sucker for izakaya-style food. In general, though, the girl has a practically bottomless stomach.

Tell us about them: Fenton is determined, optimistic, earnest, and brilliant. More than anything, Fenton wants to help people and make the world a better place. Fenton also wants to prove himself, but sometimes tries a little too hard and things don't turn out quite the way he wants them to.
Initial Ideas: Honestly, I'm just happy with pretty much anything! Fenton will be excited to learn about the magic here, especially with how it can be incorporated into technology, so he'll probably get into a little of everything. Meeting fellow scientists will make him happy, but I'm really up for anything! I'm also thinking of probably having Fenton get knighted in the future, but we'll see!

Tell us about yourself: Hi, I'm Adi! I live Down Under and work full-time, so my tags might come at some weird hours for most of you. I dabble in most mainstream JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Tales, etc... I also play FFXIV and Genshin Impact a lot!

Character Name & Journal: Futaba Sakura nerdism
Tell us about them: Futaba is a scrawny 16 year old, not particularly fit for anything that requires too much physical activity. She prefers the indoors and spends her time online, engaging in fandom and memes like a true otaku. Due to her lifestyle, she is shown to be extremely tech-savvy for someone so young, being able to hack into almost anything she needs to. Apart from being knowledgeable in all things games and anime, she also has a personal interest in cognitive psience, devoting her time in learning all about it. Perhaps some of that knowledge will translate to cognitive magic while she's here.

Secretly, she is also a member of the Phantom Thieves, who is better known by her code name Oracle. While not a fighter, she supports her team with her analytical skills!

She's nervous around large groups or any new people at first, and despite her genius, she can be quite the goofball once she comes out of her shell. She still needs to work on her social stats...!

Initial Ideas: By harnessing the powers of cognitive magic, I'm hoping she'll use her skills as navigator to help others in Avalon. Quests involving things like solving cases and mysteries, or analysing the situation in combat for the EZ Clap victory. Oracle has a name to live up to!

Favorite Food: Sojiro or Joker's Curry! Other than that, she's not fussy and would probably enjoy any type of fast food.

Tell us about yourself: Howdy! I'm a twentysomething living in Ontario, Canada that likes various animanga, video games, and pretending I know how to cook. My biggest fandoms rn are Pokémon, VOCALOID, Final Fantasy (VII, X, XIV and XV) Love Live, Pokémon, Genshin Impact, SMT/Persona, Pokémon, various magical girl canons (mostly Madoka Magica and Precure nowadays) and Pokémon. Character Name & Journal: Klee (fishblast)
Tell us about them: Klee is the daughter of two very famous adventurers and is an official member of the Knights of Favonius - a military organization that protects the nation of Mondstadt. She's as innocent, happy-go-lucky and curious about the world as you would expect a child her age to be, but don't assume that she's harmless. While most kids her age play with toys, Klee's playthings are literal live bombs that she builds herself and tends to detonate for fun, much to the worry and stress of the adults around her. She miraculously hasn't hurt anyone yet, but her explosive antics often get her sent for time-outs back in her home world.
Initial Ideas: Not much, tbh! Klee is the type to be friendly with everyone, so she'll be very interested in exploring the island and seeing how it differs from home. The one thing I do have in mind is using her elemental magic to make bombs that don't just blow up into a pyretic hellfire - other elements can explode, after all.
Favorite Food: This is canon - Fish-Flavored Toast! But really, anything with fish in it is A+ in her books, especially if they've been bombed out of their body of water and cooked before they even hit the ground.
Anything else: She's a youngin' and I know some people don't care to play with child characters, so you can opt out of me tagging you with her over here! Also if we had a TDM thread going, let me know if you want to keep it going and/or consider it canon. Other than that...

Character Name & Journal: Clifford "Cliff" Norman (awooligan).
Tell us about them:
Cliff is a small town secret werewolf that's not actually a werewolf with a less-than-glowing personality to cover up a good and insecure heart. He's sixteen years old, breaks rules for fun, and has recently come into the knowledge that his totally normal, boring town literally named Podunk is maybe not actually all that normal, and magic is real, and sometimes you gotta fight off dangerous monsters. Seeing as he's been able to turn into a wolf for as long as he can remember, this shouldn't have come as a shock to him, but here we are.

Initial Ideas:
Cliff is very uncomfortable with his wolf self only because it makes him different and he's terrified of people finding out, even keeping it a secret from his mom and little brother. He now knows a little more, having been told that he's not a werewolf but an Animal Person, a species that is neither human nor animal, but surely his mom would know nothing about any of that despite the fact that he's literally Clifford the big red dog wolf and light bounces off his eyes in the dark like a wild animal. His dad is absent and his step-dad should have been absent too, get the hell out of here, Carl.

But anyway, THIS UNFORTUNATELY MEANS that he will be trying to keep his ability to shift forms under wraps, possibly trying to pass off his eyes or any witnessed wolf business as animal magic, though he really has kinetic magic. He's also going to be pretty dang upset about being away from home, he's not a fan of being kidnapped, it wasn't fun the first time and he assumes it's not going to be fun this time.

Kids around his age to mess around with and befriend would be very good, younger kids that he can be soft to because he loves his little brother a lot would be very good, adults he can angrily ignore the authority of would be very good -- or adults he can learn to trust and depend on! Those are rarer, but his best friend in canon is 25, nine years older than him. Ghosts are also cool approximately 2/3 of the time.

Tell us about them: You may have heard of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, or maybe seen a few dances or heard a few songs from it. There was a movie where the main character got shipped off to a different timeline where nothing supernatural went on and he wasn't being dragged around by Haruhi, who for lack of a better term, had the ability to make things happen out of persuasion.

This Haruhi is from the spin-off manga, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan! She's the same long-haired Haruhi that goes to Kouyouen, but instead of being mildly annoyed momentarily by Kyon's existence, she makes her way towards and becomes a member of North High's Literature Club! Which is to say, she found a place where she can hang out with kinda interesting people. She's not quite as irritated by the lack of extraterrestrial evidence as she is in the main timeline, instead she's a cross of excited to participate in activities and chill if you need advice on something. She's also still kinda pushy....
Initial Ideas: haruhi needs to be kept from vibrating so hard that she clips through the island b/c magic

Tell us about them: Akihiko is a doofus. Heart of gold, and smarter than he appears, but most of the time just wants to punch all the things. Problem needs solving? Punch it. Potential new friend? He's not shy about doing anything that needs to be done (and will be far more active in questing than Gundham is), but above all just likes to push himself.

Initial Ideas: For now, he's going to dedicate himself to retraining his magic. Losing his Persona power is something he really didn't take kindly to, so being able to throw lightning around and buff his punches with an extra shock are going to be his top priorities, as well as doing what quests he can.

Back home, he owned his own bar also called HOMRA which he inherited from his uncle and is very protective over. Despite his smile and usually calm demeanor, he can be rather...mean and violent if someone hurts something/someone that he cares about. But he's a good guy!! Friendly!! Let him adopt you.

Character Name & Journal: Xiao Xingchen, however Xiao is his surname. Xingchen is his first. So, his name is Xingchen
Titles: Daozhang (basically what you call a daoist priest or practitioner respectfully, he'll tell you himself), gentle breeze, bright moon
Tell us about them: Xiao Xingchen comes from the live action C-drama, The Untamed, which is based on the Chinese BL novel, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. You can find the show on Netflix. Basically, it's that show with the gay Chinese Wizards. I highly recommend, but Xiao Xingchen isn't the Main Protangonist, but he is the uncle of one.

So anyway, Xingchen is a cultivator and a swordsman, which he cultivate his spiritual energy as qi deviation, where he puts his spiritual energy in his talismans and attacks in his sword to kill the undead. The wizard/socrery in his canon is a form of Taoist magic with Buddhism as a basis. He has a tragic past, which by the way, I would like you to take the time to read his permissions because his issues and death can be triggering for some. But I'll try my best to not make it central and keep it light, but he is struggle internally at times, and I pulled him from post-canon of his death and he got issues of trusting too much. He's also blind for a Tragic reason, so feel free to touch him and guide him around. He has a winged moon rabbit that talks and guides him around, and he uses cognition magic to touch and "see" in his mind.

Overall, he's a blind, soft-spoken swordsman and cultivator. Basically, a Daoist priest who can uses Qi in his spells and talismans. He came from the end of his canon point, where it's really a very Bad, Very Tired End that his soul was fragmented and broken. So he can be Tired, melancholic, and depressed sometimes and dealing with a low-self esteem, but still believes in the good of people.

Initial Ideas:
- Looking for positive happy CR, he appreciate good company to help with his low-self-esteem
- He's blind, so he needs some help getting around as he may bump into things or people, I'll get him a bamboo stick eventually
- Have roommates or happy friends to help him guide around?

Here though, I have the clumsiest Angel willing to befriend everyone including ninja sent to assassinate her, Colette Brunel from Tales of Symphonia, one of the older games in the more niche JRPG series of games for Tales of from Namco Bandai.

I guess she could fulfil the 'adopt the kids' aspect given she is sixteen and rather oblivious/prone to getting herself in situations. She'd def relate to him in losing senses (she couldn't talk, feel anything - pain for example when tripping over and hurting herself as she lands, or eat or sleep back home for a while as she gradually lost more of her humanity on her Journey to save Sylvarant, her home world.) so would be happy to help guide him around and such if he needed it at least initially?

But she def also has her own self esteem issues because being raised as a Sacrifice will do that. Everyone else's life is clearly worth more than hers because she is expected to go die/become an Angel to save everyone else, basically. But she does always believe the best in others (see the befriending the ninja sent to assassinate her example....) so quite a lot that they could bond over I think.

He just saved the world from the supernatural incarnation of a True Rune and would like a moment to catch his breath.
Initial Ideas: once he regains his lightning magic, he'll be out there exploring and seeing what's what, deciding for himself what to think and what to do after he gets enough information on Camelot, etc. Definitely down for throwing anything at him to see if it sticks; he's most receptive to drinking buddies, fellow stoics who want to bury their feelings, and sparring partners, but I always like to see what happens with all types - and I'm absolutely down for negative CR, I love it. I'm Megan, and I bring you a brand spankin new Shiro from Voltron: Legendary Defender. He also has some CRAU from a former game, but none of the people here who were in that game came in with CRAU so he's going to be Disappointed In The World for a little bit. Please stop him from bottling everything up again.

6'4" and built a bit like Captain America, Shiro has a prominent scar across his nose, a scarf-sized lung dragon as a familiar, and is missing his right arm from the shoulder! He has access to elemental magics, starting out with metal manipulation.

If your character had CR with the last Shiro that was here, please feel free to come talk to me about it - we can work things out in a certain direction, or let things develop naturally, whatever you feel like. If there's already negative CR from before, let me know that too!

Tell us about them: Hitoya is a lawyer who represents Nagoya division in the Hypmic world. He has a reputation for being unbeatable though that's due in part to only taking cases he knows he can win and having some rather unscrupulous standards when it comes to the cases he'll take. Despite this, he's also made it his mission to take on the victims of bullying pro bono. He lost his brother to bullying when he was still in school and it drastically changed the direction of his life as a result.

He's also ex-BFFS with Jakurai. It's complicated (no really we only just got a canon dump last Wednesday? Really messes up app plans when that happens sob)

Initial Ideas: As the resident dad of Nagoya division he's newly orphaned here. Please dump any and all children on him to make him miserable.

Additionally I'll probably try to find a way to put his law skills to use here. I thought it might be fun to have him collaborate with any business owners as legal counsel etc (honestly just using this as an excuse for CR). Bonus points, it will come with a minibar.

Homura is a shinobi from the game Senran Kagura; fanservice game that surprisingly has good characters and plot with the Hebijo side. She was originally disowned by her family due to spilling her secrets to an enemy, and then pulverizing him until he remained in the hospital for presumably years, and she wasn't even fully trained by then. In a sense, she technically never even attended high-school despite being 17, devoting all of her time to fighting for the organization that took her in: Hebijo, a clan of evil shinobi. Though good and evil are really just a matter of perspective given how both Hebijo and Hanzo have their own dark sides to them. She was initially a "power is everything" individual due to her betrayals, but was later convinced by her teammates that closing herself off from others was a bad call. After being betrayed by one of the heads of Hebijo though, she and her team killed him twice, and set out on their own as the renegade shinobi team, The Crimson Squad.

Because of her new upbringing, she is more accepting of others, not finding a place to judge them. Well, so long as they don't piss off her other friends. She has controlled her anger issues somewhat, but is still prone to rage if prodded enough. If not angered, she can be an open and understanding individual, and she has little tolerance for certain things within her canon. Let's just say that while she hates her abilities gone, she will enjoy one certain stupid drawback being gone forever. She also has a great love for fighting, and demonstrates how even if she lacks a proper education beyond what the world taught her, she knows combat all too well. Ever since being known as the strongest friend to Asuka, she has made it her mission to surpass her rival, and anything getting in the way of that does tick her off.

Initial Ideas:

The loss of her abilities and trying to get over it is likely what I'll be covering. She trained all her life since she was a little kid to master her abilities, put her body through hell...and a lot of that is undone, and she wonders just how much power the scroll was providing if she can't do basic stuff like moving at high speeds. She still has some power due to muscle mass, but it's barely comparable to a top athlete, so she won't be suplexing giant lions or dashing from tree to tree.

Favorite Food: Pork, beef, chicken, anything related to meat, she frigging loves! Especially when her diet...well let's just say being on the run and taking a job while providing for four other teammates who can rarely land a job leaves ones finances a bit broke.

I picked a later canon incarnation of him where he is a little more mellowed out so that he could gel easier with Avalon's setting. He is an incredibly proficient Ghoul investigator and former pet of a ghoul. He was raised to perform executions and deadly acrobatics for ghoul audiences until the hosting restaurant was raided and he was taken in by the CCG. Although some very important turns of events have caused him to align himself with more socially acceptable behaviors, Juuzou is very capable of being vicious in combat and has no ability to feel pain. He takes full advantage of this by stitching his body with red thread in interesting patterns and will gladly show off his handiwork! Even if his past and potential can make people wary or avoidant of him, Juuzou is very outgoing in his own way and almost always seems to be in a pleasant mood. My group of friends have nicknamed him the 'murder puppy' if that gives any indication to his general vibe.

Favorite Food: Candy for sure. He has a horrendous sweet tooth! Doughnuts are one of his favourites but he can be picky about them.
Anything else: Juuzou has a lot of details of character that may make people uncomfortable or hit their triggers. I have a brief summary front and center on my profile of themes that may crop up so that people can avoid tagging me until I get a permission post up that will let other muns dictate their willingness to tag with him on a sliding scale so that we can all have the nicest time possible.

Tell us about yourself: I'm a British 30-something data analyst who likes JRPGs, magical girls and afternoon naps. All of the Dad-friend energy right here. I usually tag in the evenings GMT or at weekends, and tend to get tags done every 1-2 days (first week of the month aside as that's when work gets busy), but I'm all for boomeranging if timing works out.

Tell us about them: I mean I would gush about Takaya but he's garbage, so. He's a Persona-user who's one of the main antagonists of Persona 3, and his idea of a good time is to summon the Goddess of the Night upon the world and bring about the apocalypse, playing himself off like a messiah. He's an arrogant, bitter asshole.
Initial Ideas: So...he's totally cool with the idea that all the worlds are at risk of being destroyed! And he doesn't have power he can't control threatening to kill him anymore! The way he sees it, all the other worlds are about to be eliminated by said Goddess of the Night and he's been called to 'finish the job' on this one. Clearly his familiar was not the brightest for bringing in this loser. Overall my OOC goal is for him to spend his time antagonising things, making a nuisance of himself, and maybe accidentally saving the world- much to his chagrin.
Favorite Food: Does he looks like he has a healthy diet? At all? I can imagine him liking food stalls though.
Anything else: He and his backstory is full of triggering content - murder, drugs/drug dealing, being the victim of child experimentation, being a death cult leader, etc. - so I've put an opt-out for him right here. Please don't be afraid to stick a comment there if any of that sounds like the opposite of a fun time for you, and I'll make sure to respect it.
