Hello everyone! As per the poll results, from here on out we will be posting an OOC intro at the start of our processing apps, with multiple reminders on plurk to check it out. In addition, as per suggestions commented to the pool, we will be linking this in Acceptance Messages and on the most recent Test Drive Meme.

OOC Intros


Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Don't forget to mention if it's OK for people to add you! <b>Pronouns:</b> Whatever they are, please include them so everyone can be respectful of who you are. <b>Tell us about yourself:</b> Hobbies, favorite times to tag, pets, quirks, favorite times/styles to tag, anything you'd like us to know. <b>Character Name & Journal:</b> Character name and journal here! <b>Tell us about them:</b> Give us a quick little introduction of your character, no more than a paragraph, to let us know a little about them. Hitoshi Shinsou | My Hero Academia | Kinetic

Character Name & Journal: Hitoshi Shinsou, heart_demands Tell us about them: Hitoshi (usually referred to as "Shinsou") is from the same school as the rest of the My Hero Academia students, but he tried (and failed) to get into the prestigious Hero Course like Deku and his classmates. As a result, he landed in the "General Studies" track, but that didn't stop his ambition to prove himself. He's grown up with a Quirk that makes people think he'll become a Villain, so he wants to prove them all wrong and become a great Hero instead. Due to how his Quirk works, he's had to become very good at provoking someone into talking to him. Usually he resorts to doing this with antagonism, but that's not his natural state; he's kind of like an actor in that sense. He's actually thrilled to be in a place without Quirks, where he can start over. He's intentionally from early canon, though he has the gear from his update and will get to be confused about it. Initial Ideas: Fellow Kinetic users! I've played a character with Kinesis before, but obviously Shinsou is new to this. Cognitive magic folks, so that he can lean on his canon abilities as far as giving advice / meeting like-minded (heh!) folks Underdog fighter types who don't have brute force to rely on Cat-affiliated characters (it's not just me, he canonically likes cats) Moral Grey types who have to use underhanded techniques in order to achieve morally-good goals Favorite Food: Snack Bars, like granola/fruit/trail mix. The kind you can hold in one hand while walking or biking. Anything else: Permissions are pretty lax and linked in his journal / on the Taken page His familiar is a Protostega Turtle! Yay! I'm so glad to see Shinsou in game! Sorry I was so late in tagging your TDM top level, but I'm definitely down to continue that if you are.

I'm Chris, and I've obviously got Momo here, but my other character is Corwin from the Chronicles of Amber (thepattern), and he has Kinetic magic so he can definitely get CR with Shinsou that way!
