avalonmodsHello everyone! As per the poll results, from here on out we will be posting an OOC intro at the start of our processing apps, with multiple reminders on plurk to check it out. firstsaderesponderHelloooo Avalon! This is Abbu bringing Sougo Okita from Gintama. He's a parody version of the famous Souji Okita and like his historical counterpart, is a master swordsman. And just what it says on the tin...he's a sadist. Anything he can do to get a reaction, he'll do it. One of his favorite hobbies is trying to kill his superior, Hijikata. However, at his core, he's a good guy with a bad guy's personality.
He has a kamaitachi: a weasel yokai with sickles for limbs that slice people up in windy weather. It's his merch-assigned yokaisona. Sougo's taken to calling him "Sasuke" as a joke. And I gave him Dark magic. Yeah, I'm scared too.
Due to him being from Gintama, feel free to comment on this post re: 4th wall things (or if you'd rather not be a part of sadistic shenanigans).

I'm Ashka and I'm bringing you Aether from Genshin Impact!
Aether is a boy who travelled to different worlds with his twin sister Lumine, but while in a world called Teyvat the two were ambushed by an unknown god and separated. Now this outlander is searching out other gods in hopes that one of them would help him find his sister.
...And he's saving cities while he's at it. And gathering quite an interesting group of companions.
Aether himself is very kind, but definitely far from naive. If he senses something fishy he will call you out sooner or later. He's also infinitely curious and loves exploring and discovering new things, so every new world is a new adventure for him!

Anyhow, I'm bringing Zen from Zanki Zero: Last Beginning. Zen is a funny example of the "looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you" trope. He's all smiles despite his tendency to (intentionally) rub people the wrong way with harsh words in an attempt to push them away, and he puts on an aloof front, pretending he isn't a good person. And while he does have a few screws loose, he also has a kind heart underneath it all and often means to do good in roundabout ways.
His familiar is a sarugami because... well, to put it without spoiling anything, he doesn't quite like what monkeys remind him of. And he won't like the coincidence either, especially when he was in the middle of looking for a way of not having his past exposed to his fellow survivors back home. He's kind of used to the crazy and unexpected at this point, so he won't be very surprised by his new kinetic magic, though.
I'm still playing catch up on some TDM threads, which I'm open to keeping canon, whether they're still to be finished or handwaved. But feel free to poke me onpositron for plotting!

As for who I'm bringing in: Please meet Klaudia, and accept my preemptive apology for whatever bad ideas she gets herself into. She's an OC from the Forgotten Realms D&D universe, and also happens to be a huge magic nerd and a pirate. Because what better way to fund the exorbitant fees and exotic materials needed to perform magical science and make magical items... than resorting to piracy? Also, it's just plain fun, and rules are for squares.
She'll be a little standoffish until she gets her footing, but she's a fiercely optimistic and curious individual, and she loves getting to know everything about the people, places, and objects around her. Especially if it concerns magic. She also has approximately three million hobbies, and would practice them all simultaneously if she could. Unfortunately, there's this thing called the laws of physics??? And now she's being forced to practice only one school of magic. That is definitely a high crime; and she is an expert on high crimes, so you can trust her opinion.
The magic she's starting off with is Alchemy, and she's already fully prepared to start a Morganna fanclub, so that'll keep her busy for a while. She's bound to get herself into trouble eventually, though. She's very smart, but at the same time, incredibly stupid. High INT, low WIS, no fear.

Regardless, Keigo's the side character friend who doesn't actually get any of the cool powers, just an ability to see spirits. I'm excited to give him some actual magic skills here. He's friendly but sometimes over-enthusiastic, while equally able to complain too much and too loudly about social slights and actual peril to his life. His canonpoint is his last appearance before the final timeskip chapter, so he's 17 and in his third year of high school. I chose Cognitive magic for him and gave him a tiny Hollow as his familiar.

withclawsoutHello there! I'm Sam, and I'm bringing Lethe from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, the second of the Tellius games. She's a cat laguz (complete with fully functional ears and tail), a proud warrior of Gallia (a country full of more furries), and an officer in the Laguz Alliance. She had a lot of responsibilities to attend to, but like most young adult-ish laguz, tends towards being Loud and Opinionated and ready to throw hands about said loud opinions. She used to Strongly Dislike beorc (humans in less fancy fantasy terms), but she got better about that when she learned that they were not, in fact, all two-faced cartoon villains. (Some still are because this is Fire Emblem, just not 99.9% of them like she thought.)
At the canon point I've taken her from Lethe is a bit more chill, but she's also rather grumpy at being isekai'd like a lot of people are. She had important drill sergeant things to be doing! And training! And reconnecting with her sister now that the apocalypse was cancelled and she remembered she has feelings!
Another thing Lethe is grumpy about is losing access to her battle form, a panther-sized cat. She'll have to relearn that like everyone else, but has the added drawback of starting with a background of disliking magic, at least how she used to understand it. She has animal magic, because of course she would, and her familiar is an eagle owl who likes causing problems on purpose if not appeased by headrubs.
