It's a little bit early for the monthly announcements, but this is a special occasion. This is unfortunately going to be one of the last. Isle of Avalon will be entering an abridged end-game, to finish in October.

Life circumstances change and headmod Tay is no longer feasibly able to keep up with the workload required to give everyone the experience they deserve at Isle of Avalon. After discussion among the moderation team, we decided that giving Isle of Avalon closure was the best solution, even if it wasn't the planned story to unfold.

To that end, we have set a schedule and will be making a few changes in operation to go over with you below.

Schedule

8/29: QuestBoard
The QuestBoard will be released as scheduled, but with 5 quests of each type available for those who were wishing to gain or complete titles for their characters before end game. Those with titles will be posted at the top of the @isleofavalon community at the end of October, to be pinned to the top of the community.

9/1: Test Drive Meme - Final
The game is closing, why are we having a TDM!? That is because any characters who were previously in the game are welcome to come back to play through the finale without apping. Comment in reply to your original Taken list comment (should be screened, but visible to you logged in) to re-add your character to Isle of Avalon for the end game. The TDM will focus on the quest for the final needed item to get to Excalibur from the Calamity's Heart, Lancelot's Dispell Ring.

9/16: Event
Preparations for the final expedition, a time for everyone to say goodbye and a ceremony/celebration to thank everyone for their efforts. It won't be action heavy so everyone has plenty of time in September to have any threads they had planned but hadn't gotten to, as well as closure.

10/1: Finale Log

Other Notes

Activity Check: All AC starting with this month is canceled. You don't owe anything and no one will be kicked at this point.

Rewards: Rewards will not be actively processed. However, we are open to anyone ICly gaining any of the current recurring rewards to play with in the game if they hadn't gotten the chance to.

Original Story: There was an original story written with 7 different possible endings. This will be released. It does not include all choices made along the way, which have altered the pathway to the end game (which we were almost going to enter soon anyway-- but a much more substantial, longer version.)

NPC Appointments: Closed.

We are sorry that we could not give you the full planned experience, but we are so happy and privileged to have had all of you love Isle of Avalon along with us. Thank you so much. Please let us know if you have any final questions or words in this post.
