Tell us about them: Shen Qingqiu is a rude, stuck-up jerk of a man with an obsessive need to be better than everyone due to a tragic backstory, which means he's an incredibly sore loser. He particularly hates anyone who flaunts the fact they have/had a loving family and/or have amazing natural talent. If you manage to somehow gain his friendship though, he'll defend you with his life! And then tell you off for making him have to defend you! If you just happen to be related to whoever or whatever he's loyal to then he might still help you when absolutely necessary. Also has a soft spot for anything female (girls are his safe space).
Initial Ideas: I jumped into this game with zero plans, zero ideas, and zero thoughts in my head, but as always I would love for someone to try to get through his prickly exterior! Or bully him, bullying is fine too (he canonly once got caught reading a book upside-down because he was so angry he couldn't think straight...)

Tell us about yourself: Hey, there! Right now my fandoms primarily consist of Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Nier, Zelda, and.... last but not least, Undertale. I work full time as a Curbside Pickup Lead so I can be a little scarce on Plurk on days when I work at times (but I check Discord through the day). I've recently started to play Final Fantasy 14 and have started to write fanfiction on my spare time. I usually tag in the evening since my workshifts start early in the day!

Character Name (Canon): Asriel Dreemurr (Undertale)
Tell us about them: Asriel is a 9 - 11 year old child who tends to be kind-hearted and sweet. He comes from a warm and loving family, so that's very likely where how much love and compassion he has for others comes from. He puts others before himself and can be a be brought to tears a bit easily. He canonly plays light tricks on others and isn't someone who's had many friends before.

Spoiler wise, he's the main antagonist of Undertale and has actually done some pretty horrible things, so now he'll be trying his best to make up for what he's done. He's gone for a long time without feeling love or compassion for others. He's also gone without having a body with arms and legs thanks to him being a flower for a long time, so there's that. I'm also pulling him from post true pacifist route, for those who are canon familiar.
Initial Ideas: I never really have any concrete ideas when I app a character in, so I'm going to be a little generic here and say that I'll be working on having him settle in and make friends. This is the first time that he's going to be surrounded by so many humans, so it'll take a bit of time for him to adapt to that.

Tell us about them: Shadow is the "Ultimate Lifeform" and thus is kind of up his own arse about that, so having all his special powers (Which are connected to a canon only power source) gone will kinda knock the wind out of his sails... ANYWAY ABOUT SHADOW, a brooding loner anti-hero type.

Also a three-foot three hedgehog, so there is that.

Initial Ideas: Just having him have to adjust to not having chaos powers is gonna be fun on a bun. Even though I gave him Kinetic and Light magics, which means once he masters them (which Shadow expects he will quickly [he will not]) he'll have something close to his canon powers. Not exact which should be fun to play around with.

Tell us about yourself: I'm a 31 yo Canadian who loves coffee and my cat! I like playing video games (it's mostly FFXIV and Genshin atm), and my current faves are NieR: Automata and FFVIIR (surprise!). I dabble in 3D rendering too! I'm in the MST timezone, and my tagging speed varies. I try to respond back to tags within 1-2 days, but it can be more depending on RL stuff, especially work (which picks up significantly around the second week of every month). I do tend to slow down a lot on the weekends, so just a heads up there.

Character Name (Canon): Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII, Remake flavour)
Tell us about them: Tifa is what you could easily call the "Mom Friend". She's a kind, empathetic soul who is always wanting to help and do the right thing, but don't let that fool you, she can kick ass too! She's much more reserved than she leads on, doesn't like talking about herself, and she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve, even if she may look it. Internally, Tifa deals with a lot of grief, low self-esteem, and harbours guilt for what Avalanche is doing, but she hides it well. She's always trying to do the Right Thing, and will try to help anyone in need, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Tifa comes in from the end of Remake Part 1, just as the group leaves Midgar to find Sephiroth, so she's been through quite a bit up until now! As for magic, she'll be coming in with Elemental/Light magic, with a cute, friendly spectral dolphin familiar. :)
Initial Ideas: This is definitely a cop-out answer, but getting her settled in and gaining some CR are my top priorities! I'd like for her to start taking on quests right away to start making some buck, so quest buddies would be A+. A very small part of her wonders if this is some direct result/consequence of what they did re: trying to change destiny, or that this could be some card up Sephiroth's sleeve so uh, someone please tell her it's not??? She'll need to come to terms with the fact that she's had her life upended (again), so that'll take some working on.

Tell us about them: 2B (AKA No. 2 Type B) comes from a world without humans. She is a battle android created to fight on the frontlines of the years-long machine war against—you guessed it!—the machine lifeforms that have taken over Earth, and the goal is to make it habitable again for the humans to return. She is Miss "Emotions are Prohibited" and doesn't shy away from that, convincing herself and others that emotions just get in the way of her duty as YoRHa android. In reality, 2B feels a lot more than she lets on. She comes off as distant and cold, but deep down, she is extremely loyal and cares deeply about her friends. She's tiptoed on the line between duty and her own desires for a long time, and the war is starting to take its toll on her... Even androids get tired. I decided to take 2B from the end of Route A/B, and she's got Kinetic/Siphoning magic, and a spectral moose for her familiar.
Initial Ideas: She's never met REAL HUMANS before, so she'll be a bit shy and taken-aback at first, and not sure what to do about it. On the inside, she's very excited to be surrounded by so many, and wants to befriend them all, but how does one do that? Honestly, my initial thoughts is to just have her make friends and learn about human customs and what they like to do in their free time, and maybe even start to mimic some of the behaviours (bonus points for weird stuff that we do that makes no sense!!) Other than that, she'll just be around, helping where she can. Also, someone please help her come up with a better name for her moose than 'Moose'.

I walked away to go watch Sailor Moon and forgot about it. I think the toaster might've been broken??? At any rate, the house smelled like smoke for a few days after that. Tell us about them: A 3-foot human able to float (once mastered) who talks in first person. Paimon is almost like Navi from the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, your average fairy-looking floating who follows the Traveler around to help out however she can. She's not annoying as Navi, but better. She complains, blunts honesty, can be rude, optimistic, gluttony, is knowledgeable from her world, nicknames people, etc. Call her emergency food, feel her wrath.
Initial Ideas: Technically I should be on hiatus and yet I wanted this child in here as soon as possible because of certain enablers. /STARES/ Paimon wants to eventually hop into someone's backpack, go on a tour with them until she can finally master Kinetic magic to get her floating powers back again! I'm open for ideas, and since The Traveler isn't here, Paimon might hop people to people. She can help give insights at least, and help pick out take-outs. I like her to quest eventually because she's greedy and want money.

Tell us about them: Juza expression rarely shows it—he has Resting Bitch Face, basically, so people tend to avoid him for anything but fights 'cause he looks like a delinquent—but he's a big softie who loves acting and theatre. He'll do almost anything for his friends, but he's also easy to goad into mindless fights... and he's pretty good at knocking people's lights out if it comes to that. He loves sweets and desserts to a nauseating extent.
Initial Ideas: Not that many stone-etched ideas, for now Juza just has to learn how Avalon's world even works. I gave him Alchemy for his secondary magic because I wanted something he'll have to/be putting his mind to. As he is good in some academic areas bot not others, I thought that would be an interesting shot to attempt.

Tell us about them: Dimitri is the newly-crowned king of Faerghus, claiming the throne after a long war. He's big into chivalry, advocates for justice, and will throw himself into danger to protect innocent people. However, he's had a very, very dark past and survived tragedy, and he spent a while as a brutal, bloodthirsty lunatic. But he got some much-needed therapy and is doing better now. He's still haunted by his past, but he has the strength of mind to persevere nonetheless. Oh, and he's a weapon enthusiast who loves to spar.
Initial Ideas: At the moment, I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. Right now I want him to make friends and find people to spar with. He also needs to discover how his magic works (basically things that will enhance his physical strength at will), so the sooner he does that the better. And, of course, he needs to meet the other people from Fódlan here!

Tell us about them: Canonly, JJ is a professional figure skater. He's kind of like a dog friend type. He's not great in social situations and tries to be friendly, tease, and joke with others. But sometimes joking goes too far and comes across as a bit of a jerk (instead of joking with someone it becomes joking at someone!!) He can also come across as arrogant. l. He works really well with people that can handle the fact that he sometimes does dumb shit, and doesn't take being called on it seriously. He also works well with Tsunderes because it goes over his head and he just assumes people like him regardless.

JJ is CRAU, also, and comes from over a year in Prisma so he's evolved just enough to be a little easier to get along with.

Initial Ideas: By nature he's a hard worker, and he's been off-worlding. So, his initial thing is going to be finding a job and getting used to the way the place works. He's going to want to quest and be nobility. He's going to also gun for social media verification, of course. Because he's verified at home! So why wouldn't he?

Tell us about yourself: I work in film and television, i'm a huge fan of comic books and video games, the designated dungeon master for my circle of friends ... and I never really know what to say for these things. Character Name (Canon): Mitsuru Kirijo (Persona 3)

Tell us about them: Mitsuru is the heiress to a gigantic corporation that got up to some seriously shady shit when her grandfather was running it. Her father made it his life's mission to set things right or die trying, and Mitsuru then made it hers when she learned that she had the power to do something about it. Growing up shaped by that mission and the fact that she would inherit the company has molded her into someone who's very intelligent, competent, well-spoken, ready to take charge, driven to a fault, and does not take shit ... but it's also left her with a lot of issues to work out as well.

She feels an intense sense of personal responsibility, something that often makes it hard for her to truly trust others because she doesn't want to make them shoulder her burdens as well. She's repressed as hell because she views the mission and the greater good of the Kirijo Group as way more important than anything she wants for herself, so hobbies, relationships, and things of that nature tend to go on the backburner. That's only compounded by the fact that she grew up super wealthy and just never really got to have a lot of "normal" experiences.

Just ... I could go on for ages, but tl;dr, she's super competent, needs to learn to relax, gives off ice queen vibes but cares a lot in her own way, and is adorably out of her depth with a lot of everyday life.

Initial Ideas: I mean, there's the usual getting settled and building CR, but in Avalon, Mitsuru is basically divorced from all the shit that kept her from getting to experience a life free of expectations and societal demands. Yeah, there's plot and she will get heavily involved with that as it arises, but I want her to get to just ... get to live a life that's closer to 'normal' and experience a ton of new stuff.

I want her to meet friends, work jobs, live life ... probably wind up building a team to do action stuff because she's still her, and she's going to be fascinated by all the things she can learn from other people who have lived really action-heavy lives.

Makoto is a very soft boy with a rather scary game face if he's playing video games (particularly shooters) and he is actually currently engaged to Yuri on Ice's Jean-Jacques Leroy (aka JJ) due to his time in the now closed game Prismatica. Yes, he's CRAU. So, be prepared for all the lovey-dovey cute shit too. Also, he's from the end of S2, I have not updated him to S3 and don't really plan on it. But he's aware of a few things that happened such as Sousuke's successful shoulder surgery.
Initial Ideas: Just kind of continue where I left off in Prisma, really. I like how he's growing more independent and figuring out what he wants to do in his life. Obviously, a bit of a do-over is going to happen here but I think seeing if he's able to give swim lessons and such would be a good start. He also has elemental and healing magic, so he would also want to learn to control all that. Primarily being a healer would be neat since I know S3 has him switch it up from being a kid's swim coach to a specializing in sport's medicine and while I was never fond of how they executed that character development, it's still a bit fitting for his character type so keeping the being a healer and such would be neat!

Character Name (Canon): Shinra Kusakabe (Fire Force)

Tell us about them: He comes from a world where people spontaneously combust and turn into mindless flame zombies (called Infernals) that destroy things so there's a Special Fire Force that comes in to "put them to rest." Shinra joined the Fire Force partly because he's a massive hero-wannabe and also because as a child his mother and little brother were killed in a fire caused by an Infernal. Anyway, turns out there's an underground cult that's been orchestrating everything in order to trigger a second end of the world event (first one happened about 250 years before the start of the series) and Shinra might actually be Fire Fighting Jesus. Yeah.

Shinra's a good kid. He tries really hard to be an ideal hero and believes in helping everyone. Despite this, growing up, he ended up becoming attached to the label "Devil" instead because of rumours that he's the one that caused the fire that killed his family and also because when he's nervous/anxious, he gets a creepy grin that he can't control. He's got a lot of trauma to work through still...

His canon point is ch 238. I also have some basic stats here if anyone is interested.

Initial Ideas: For now I want Shinra to focus on getting used to the fire part of his elemental magic so he can use it to imitate his canon powers somewhat (after that he can start to learn the other elements) so it'd be great if he can find someone to train with. Other than that I don't really have concrete plans maybe just start by finding people he can help in whatever way or making friends!

Tell us about them: First of all: yes, his head is a giant revolver. Juzo is a cybernetically-enhanced soldier with no memory of who he was before the nebulously named Great War. With the war now over, he works as a Resolver - a part mercenary, part PI - who deals with issues involving the Extended, aka people with cybernetic enhancements. He acts real cool and aloof and claims he doesn’t need people, but somehow others keep worming their way into his heart. He will awkwardly dad at younger characters. Smokes like a chimney, prone to making gun puns.

Initial Ideas: I’d like for him to reestablish his consulting agency and take odd jobs around the city, but otherwise I’m pretty open to anything. He comes from a very cyberpunk setting so settling into magic fantasy land is going to be quite the adjustment.

Tell us about them: Nier is your classic JRPG protag trying to save his little sister and doggedly accepting any sidequest that comes his way, except this is a Yoko Taro game so he is also extremely tired and traumatized and probably needs a hug. Nier is the type to rush ahead and take things at face value, even when he doesn't have the complete picture. He would also do absolutely anything to protect his friends and family, and kind of dooms the entire human race on account of it. Whoops! Generally speaking, he's easy to get along with and focused on getting shit done. For those of you who are canon-familiar, Nier is coming in from after Ending D! His familiar is a big white direwolf named Angelus and he'll be using animal and blood magic.
Initial Ideas: Given his canon point, Nier has a lot of Things he should probably be sorting out that he is definitely avoiding thinking about as he tries to figure out what to do with himself now that there is no little sister here for him to save. He will always be an eager and willing quest partner, and he'll likely be hunting and fishing with his familiar pretty often. The busier he can keep himself, the better — he's not one to stay idle, especially in a world that he's already pretty uncomfortable in.

Tell us about them: He's like the no.1 most popular god in Egyptian mythology.. except like, not yet. He's 18 and supposed to be committing murder and taking the throne but no one told him Set was hot. (Ok it's more than that but no spoilers in here since this version of Horus is very much end-of-canon and side stories.) He's perhaps a little cocky, but intelligent and strong both physically and of-will. He can be a little too strong-willed at times to the point of being pushy, but he's been raised his whole life to become king, even if he was basically hanging out in an oasis with a warthog and a lem-- no, sorry, his family, he's not Simba.

Tell us about them: 9S (pronounced Nine S or Nines by close friends) is a scanner-type android created to fight against machines that have taken over Earth. Although he's never met any humans due to so few of them having survived and hiding in shelter, he's entirely devoted to winning the war for the sake of his creators.
Despite being a soldier, however, his core personality is pretty down-to-earth! He experiences real emotions just as any human would and likes to keep the mood light-hearted whenever possible. If he's not asking a million questions, he's happily explaining something he learned or observed, so be prepared to befriend a very chatty android!
Initial Ideas: Since 9S is designed to be an intel gathering android, he won't be able to keep his nose out of anyone's business. Not in the sense that he's going to violate anyone's privacy against their knowledge (maybe), but more that he's just going to be that annoying kid with a million questions. He's never met humans before, and to him they're like his parents or gods, even. He wants to be closer to them! Protect them! And... hopefully not be disappointed over time!! You know what they say, never meet your heroes and all. Jokes aside, he doesn't want to wander around aimlessly, so he's going to want to help around as much as he can. It's in his nature to be useful and wanted. His familiar is going to be a wild boar, and for magic he'll be all about kinetic/technomancy!

Tell us about them: Sometimes Yoko Taro gives us a story with a Very Good Boy as a treat and then throws him under the speeding bus of authorial fiat. In Nier, that boy is Emil, a very sweet and kind-hearted boy who for spoilery reasons has stopped aging and had eyes that could turn people he looked at to stone. As you can imagine, some bad people tried to use him and a lot of people got hurt*, so he blindfolded himself and was a shut-in for a very long time. He still thinks his eyes will hurt people, expect him to be wearing that blindfold until he learns otherwise! He seems weak and cowardly but he's a steadfast ally who will give protecting everyone his all! As an exceedingly kind-hearted person, Emil is good at checking in on friends who are reluctant to admit when they need help, he's overall a great foil for terse, grumpy, and allergic-to-vulnerability types. He might also think his Golem familiar, the macabre sphere floating after him is his sister (again, it's complicated). He dresses fancy. Ouji/prince style fancy.

Initial Ideas: I want adventure! CR! Adventure WITH CR! Emil has been isolated for a long time and is friendship easymode. He's also a soft-hearted doormat, so bully him. I'm more than okay with negative CR. He's invested in learning magic so he can remove a curse he left on a dear friend back home (and save everyone's worlds, because he feels guilty that he's here when there are a lot of other people more deserving of this opportunity)! In spite of his blindfold, Emil is surprisingly adept at getting around and identifying people by small details like the sound of their footsteps.

Opting Out: Like other works by Yoko Taro, Nier and its related media can contain disturbing themes and content that can be triggering for others. Emil's story involves trauma-induced amnesia, human experimentation, exploitation/abuse of children and body horror. Tell us about them: sumire is a super spoilery character, so I won't go into too much detail, but she's warm and sweet and kind of a hot mess. she's a bit insecure but she's working on it, she doesn't believe in herself very much but she's getting there!! she faced terrible tragedy in the form of losing her sister in an accident, and it's shaped her quite a bit, she's working on getting past it. sumire is also an excellent gymnast and a persona user, which means she can summon a cool brain monster, but only when she's in the metaverse, which really doesn't apply here so.. welp! in avalon tho she uses both kinetic and green magic.
Initial Ideas: i definitely don't have anything solid for her yet, mostly i'll be focusing on getting her settled in, probably getting her a job, and working on her fancy new magicks!

As you can probably discern from who I'm bringing in, I enjoy MMOs, particularly World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, and The Secret World / Secret World Legends (rip). Tell us about them: Jongdae spent the majority of his life in a secret underground compound and experienced most of the outside world via the internet and various forms of media, so he is both a nerd and a walking shitpost. And the fact that he's a former test subject and used to have some pretty wild powers back in his original world. He also just spent the last year and a half or so in Ryslig, so he's lived the monster life, and now he's part-manticore for life, but at least there's smartphones and magic here, so that's nice.
Initial Ideas: I will echo others on this meme to say bold of you to assume I have ideas, but a few things are rattling around in my head I'll probably dabble in. I know he will be very interested in being an influencer because that's a thing he was doing before, and he enjoys the attention. He also has alchemy, which I thought would be an interesting fit for him because I usually give him a power that doesn't require many studies that he can sort of "feel" out. His original power gave him the ability to affect matter and energy on the molecular level. So alchemy is actually pretty similar in that regard, and that's where the "feel" would come in (as opposed to having absolutely no connection to it whatsoever), but the need to actually learn the technical aspect of it will be new and different, and he'll definitely want to experiment. Everything else is kind of ??? and I'm open to a lot!
Anything else: Jongdae's backstory and canon contain sensitive material; there is human experimentation, medical horror, and body horror, to list a few, although he's not freely going around telling everyone about all that, so it's mostly close CR or situations where that might get shared (like a dreamshare) where it might come up. That being said, he has an opt-out post here (also permissions), so if there's anything you'd like never to get mentioned if we have cr, let me know!.

Tell us about them: first, I brought you gay space communism, and now I bring you disaster capitalism. Traejan is an undead elven death knight who comes from a noble family and is very pleased with himself and is here to have a good time and consolidate wealth. There's very little he won't do to make a profit, which has usually worked out well for him since he's much more of a brute force guy and not much of a schemer.
Initial Ideas: WELL. if your character ended up getting kidnapped and forced to fight for the entertainment of others, they probably saw or heard him in the audience because that's a thing he'd find his way into one way or another. He'll probably also poke around into dark web things and maybe investigate the murders if he's hurting for things to do (he hasn't slept in years he likes to keep busy), although not because he wants to solve it as much as he's just curious who's behind it ~~and possibly to collect things from bodies if that's allowed OOCly lmao~~.
Anything else: Traejan also has sensitive material in his story and canon. murder, death, undeath, and cannibalism are among some of the items on the list and I very clearly content warning label anything even vaguely needing a warning, but given how he is as a character, if you would like to opt-out of any theme or topic or out of cr with him altogether, please let me know! his opt-out and permissions post is here.

Weirdest thing most people don't know about you that doesn't require content warnings: I really love airplanes, and I couldn't tell you exactly why it's just an obsession I've had since I was a little kid. And yeah, yeah, fighter jets are cool and all, but I really love commuter jets and airliners! I have an artsy painting of an airbus a-320 on my living room wall, and one of my "comfort" shows is air crash investigation, AND I KNOW HOW THAT SOUNDS, but the reenactments are hilarious, and the investigations are always interesting.

Tell us about them: aubrey is an angry wannabe punk teen from the year 2003. due to events in canon, she's been dealing with lot of anger issues and has begun taking steps to to rectify them in recent time. once you get past her initial standoff-ish demeanor, she's a good-hearted and honest person who is always true to her feelings. also pay no mind to her carrying around a nail bat, it is her emotional support weapon of choice.
Initial Ideas: at the canonpoint she's from, two of her close friends are hospitalized and she's going to get dropped into Avalon right in the middle of that! she's going to be incredibly pissed about this for a good while so any initial meetings are not going to be super positive because of that. then she's going to get completely put-off by being in a fantasy world and having a weird round bunny as her familiar, which will also lead to anger. what I'm getting at here is aubrey is going to very angy in her first month before she starts to cool down.

in addition she has elemental-fire magic and also green magic and this will absolutely go totally wrong at some point. what I'm saying is if any forest fires start, it definitely isn't her fault.

He is hotheaded and reckless, following his gut before thinking things through, but he ultimately means well, trying to do his best to protect those that can't protect themselves. Caspar is coming from the end of the Crimson Flower route. His familiar is a spectral bear cub and he will be using kinetic and cognitive magic!
Initial Ideas: Nothing too particular right out the gate, but Caspar will absolutely be looking for sparring partners! Despite his hotheadedness, he's generally pretty easy to get along with, so he's a good match for friendship and questing both! Tell us about them: Simply put, she's like Cortana! An AI assistant to an armored supersoldier who's being called "Spartan" while they adventure in space, fighting aliens and doesn't afraid of anything. Eclair though, is an AI in control of a whole space ship and she has an android body that allows her to interact with the physical world and assist her human in combat. Because oh humans, they're so helpless and ridiculous aren't they? She's programmed with the same fighting skills as her human partner, so Eclair is actually pretty tough and skilled in a fight despite her soft appearance and motherly demeanor. Speaking of which, she's your mom friend who would be glad to dote on your characters! So be nice, don't piss her off, or you'll get a chancla to the face.
Initial Ideas: She would just be happy to be of service! So no solid ideas yet. Have her help out in training as a sparring partner, help in quests or errands, or be a healer on speed-dial!

Tell us about them: Coming from a fantasy world like in many MMOs in a very honor-bound society of wealthy knights and nobles, the fiercely independent Cattleya wanted some breathing room from that restrictive culture and see the world as an adventurer. Alas, her own family didn't see adventurers in a good light, thinking of them as insolent glory-seekers which is in a way true, since seeking fame and fortune is one of the things that drew Cattleya to that life. She wanted to become strong and known and respected, but in her own way and in a way that makes her happy. She developed her own fighting style, and didn't restrict herself to one "class" of fighter, able to switch between a Fighter, Mage, an Archer, an even a Priest. But in here she's mostly just a Fighter with Elemental powers. She does have her Archer outfit though, it's mad swanky with all the gold. Nice. She's also a big softie underneath her professional demeanor, who likes being doted on and hanging out but she's really shy and honestly a bit tsundere. She's the type to ask your character to ask the waiter that she said she didn't want any pickles!
Initial Ideas: Cattleya would be my more combat oriented character, so she's definitely up to team up with other fighters and train with them. She definitely could use some friends now that she's alone from her closest companion, so she'll be a little lonely and feeling trapped while she adjusts to this setting. Having her enjoy modern things would be lovely, though. So if you're willing to teach her how a microwave works, that'd be cute. Or recommend her some books since she loves reading in her downtime.
