OOC Intros

Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Tell us about yourself: Hello!! I'm a knitter in the PST-times who... uh, knits. I have an Extremely Dry job, but in my off-time I'm either playing video games, knitting, or writing! I'm very deep in FFXIV (PATCH TONIIIGHT) and am in a raid static there. I'm also an aspiring baker and love cooking! I also have an extensive knowledge on everything in the Twilight universe. Please talk to me about dumb horror movies or vampires!! These are extremely relevant to my interests.
Character Name & Journal: Jaskier, cointosser
Tell us about them: Jaskier, as so-called by The Witcher's show runners, is the medieval equivalent to Freddy Mercury in his world. He's a (spoony) bard, but he's a very famous bard, and is solely the reason that anyone sings tales of Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf. Practically everyone knows at least a few lines of one of Jaskier's ballads, and if you don't you're a disappointment to him. When Jaskier is not participating in suspiciously fateful occurrences, songwriting, or nearly dying, he is performing for the Continent's peasantry and the greatest of kings and queens. He is also an incredibly ambitious flirt, a bisexual disaster, and a nonstop talker. And man, the boy can sing.
Initial Ideas: Jaskier is 100% a pure-bred, grade A human with literally no powers, magic, enhancements, or curses. He's, uh, gonna go kind of crazy at the idea of having magic, and not having to 1) undergo extremely invasive magic surgery for it or b) be born with it, like Maybelline??? He WILL inevitably be EXTREMELY bad at it, and because I'm very interested in getting him into bargaining magic, will quite easily get in over his head with it.

He will also be very wary of his familiar for a while, waiting for the moment it decides to eat him. You cannot convince him otherwise.

Jaskier gets along with all sorts, and if it hints to the sort of tolerance level Jaskier has for personalities, his best friend is Geralt, who is one of the grumpiest bastards you'll ever meet. Jaskier will not be put off by people annoyed by him, nontalkative people, or, uh... anything, really. He is loud and verbose and can (and has) say enough for an entire two-person conversation on his own, thank you.

If you insult his music, however, he will attempt to fistfight you (and lose, probably).
My Dream Aesthetic: Is there a perfect way to marry neon lights with cottagecore? Because that's right where I am.

So, completely canonblind but I saw 'bard' and I'm like, oh Yun Yifeng also likes playing music...except he's really, really bad at it. Like, someone described it as being useful for scaring away wolves. And he's not really aware, either. I feel like this could be hilarious.

Oh, god. This would be REALLY funny, because depending on how nice Yun is, he'd be torn between trying to be polite and telling he to stop playing music, but forever.

He's nice 80% of the time except when he's teasing people. So it depends on how their meeting goes. But generally when he offers to play for people he does so out of the kindness of his heart...incidentally, he also offers to cook for people and his food is about as good as his music.
