OOC Intros

Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Tell us about yourself: Hello, I'm Eggie! My timezone is CST and I tag sporadically through out the day. I work as a tarot reader so while I have set hours, when I'm just at my desk, I tend to tag lmao. I'm big into horror indie games and story based walking simulators :p

My "main" fandoms at the moment are Metal Gear, LoZ, Nier (Specifically Replicant!), FFVII, Identity V, uh. I got back into Animal Crossing New Horizons and downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog off the eShop thanks to the Sonic sale last week, so that's also a Thing. I've got a cat and a dog, and they both are terrible— Salem's my cat and Bella's my dog.
Character Name & Journal: Zelda, lucubrates
Tell us about them: Zelda is the crowned Princess of Hyrule, your typical Blonde Elf and she comes from a long line of Zeldas which has given her a lot of baggage about her own performance. She excels less at magic and more at academics and is described in Hyrule Warriors as a budding scholar. She's insecure, difficult and tends to ruin conversations all on her own, but she means well, is a perfectionist, and does as much as she can to be a help to those around her. She's the sort of girl who will insist that she can help even if the options are slim. In game, she's pre-Calamity, so in addition to her powers not having awakened, she's just starting to try and heal her relationship with Link; she might take poorly to being coddled or assumed incapable, but she's trying!
Initial Ideas: The first thing I'd love for her to do is get involved with people her age, and make friends. She tends to radiate Princess Aura but I'd love for her to be a normal girl in game and just enjoy her life for a bit, without the weight of duty on her. That said, she's still going to throw herself head first into training, studying and trying to perfect her magical abilities, perhaps going as far as to try and seek out...sigh...STUDY BUDDIES... because she's a nerd.

To make this simple: 1. I'd love for her to make friends, regardless of age, but she probably could do with some other older teens to show her how to be... well, a teenager.
2. Teachers... People to teacher her and train her and see how hard she throws herself into things! She's passed out in the middle of training for days without a break, so hey.
3. I love dropping the I'm A Princess thing on people so if you're into your character meeting an elf princess from a distant land in the middle of preparing for the apocalypse and think it might be funny, I'd love to fill that need.
4. Anyone else with a Big Responsibility, especially if it's baked into their family lineage or something else. If you're expected to live your life by destiny but are bad at it, or extremely good at it, I'm down. Hit me up.
5. On that note: I love when Zelda's prickly and terrible with people who are just better at fulfilling their destiny. She doesn't want to be, but she feels mocked, and I'd love to start some CR that will be terrible and bad before she starts to warm up to your character. Heroes are great for this!
My Dream Aesthetic: I have two moods: Local Evil Hag Invites You Into Her Abandoned Werewolf Cabin-Vampire Mansion And Feeds You A Healing Soup From Her Giant Ancient Cauldron or Celesial BubblePop Princess On A Unicorn, so those.

PLEASE study buddies also genshinimpact/botw buddies !! mona herself is really big on studying and academics - though her love of the stars/astrology and yearning to learn the truth of the world. is where her academics will lead her!! I think mona and zelda could be cool friends if anything mona could really use someone who loves to study as much as her, but is very soft? in retrospect? mona can be really blunt and sound cold ; o ;!

Hi, Dragon! It's nice to meet you! As for your question: Honestly, I'm good with whatever you'd like to do. 🙋‍♀️ I tend to play this as Zelda meeting someone who knew an ancestor of her's, with her processing it as such since she has no recollection of it, so it's not a bother either way tbh!!

This is Ax, and it's been ages. I'm playing Claire Redfield from Resident Evil instead of Edelgard this time (and Tsuyu Asui from My Hero Academia) and I'd love to get things going with you again. Zelda and Edelgard's friendship is some of my favorite Aef memories.

Claire was friends with a previous Zelda, as well as ticking a bunch of those possible boxes. Claire's got a family legacy/feelings of inadequacy thanks to her bro, she enjoys helping newcomers work their magic, and is just enough of a wild-child at 20 to maybe rub off on Zelda.
