OOC Intros

Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

<b>Player Name:</b> Whatever you want us to call you. <b>Contact:</b> Plurk, Discord, whatever it is you use. Don't forget to mention if it's OK for people to add you! <b>Pronouns:</b> Whatever they are, please include them so everyone can be respectful of who you are. <b>Tell us about yourself:</b> Hobbies, favorite times to tag, pets, quirks, favorite times/styles to tag, anything you'd like us to know. <b>Character Name & Journal:</b> Character name and journal here! <b>Tell us about them:</b> Give us a quick little introduction of your character, no more than a paragraph, to let us know a little about them. This will give people an idea of maybe how they can plot with their character and yours depending on potential interactions, but it also gives you a chance to gush about them to everyone. (We know you want to!) <b>Initial Ideas:</b> We know you're just getting started off here so you may not have any solid goals for where you want to go yet, but let us know if there's anything you're looking for to start off with! Types of CR, parts of the setting you want to play with, magic you want to have your character have a disaster with, whatever floats your boat. <b>My Dream Aesthetic:</b> This section is going to change for each OOC intro, we just want to put something fun each time. :) Tell us about the kind of aesthetic you absolutely adore. Well she steals items already. Why not add armour or weapons. I mean.

That is also an option. Yes. I know playing it would prob take longer than watching an LP? and I know FF is long. Closest I've gotten is halfway through VIII and I got up to the crater in VII before I uh. Lost my memory card (and the second disc for VIII). I did get through VII's Remake for the first part though at least.

Look, gotta steal everything. Of course, steal armor and weapons from the bigger targets bothering you really, they have the ideal pieces.

Hehe, honestly, do whichever you want to. In the end, haaave fun! If you do play it, just... just don't try to beat jumprope mini-game immediately. You'll be there all day unless you play on PC. Also, holy geez, the memory card (and disc 2???)!!

Making off with armour or weapons is not the most subtle or stealthy.

I know we grabbed it for PS4. I'm probably gonna just go with that. I know there are mods with the PC version if I get it there too though. But uh. Noted with the jump rope mini game. It's always the mini games.....

And ugh yes that is the reason I have never actually finished a FF. I was so close with VII! I just. Never got the motivation to go back to them after that I was so damned salty.

The PC Moguri mod make the game look so good, but... like, it has this weird habit of apparently crashing? At the end??? Like, I had a friend who live played it on Discord and it went kaput right after the final battle's cutscene???? It also has this weird issue at the epilogue so... yeah.

Oh well! You'll beat the Remake and be triumphant this time!

Yeah, the Moguri mod is the one a friend mentioned iirc. I'd prob need to ask fiance on mods things because I haven't used mods before in mostly playing on consoles really. Given how old it is I would hope? My computer could handle it but I guess if it crashes it might be better to wait and see if that gets fixed? Oof, right at the end too that sucks!

But yes I laugh but the Remake might be the FF I actually beat unless I get through IX first. I looked up the ending for VII on Youtube because I was refusing to then immediately have to go back and replay the whole thing to get back to that point and finish it lol.

Yeah, that'd be a good idea. Friend had a little technical issues getting the mod to work, but after that, he was goooolden.

Haha, true! I mean... for IX, you're not waiting for part 2 and part 3... and any other parts if not just those two.

I can't recall if I have grabbed IX on Steam yet but I can check. Either way I know I have it on PS4 anyway.

But yes. No waiting for IX to come out in parts. Just boot it up and play! I mean. Hopefully.
