Important Announcements for December:

December AC is optional as we are aware everyone gets very busy during the holidays! Turn in AC to receive a free pass that they can use for 1 month's AC any time in 2021.
December weather in Avalon will be very snowy and cold. There may be a few days of slush. Overall, very wintery weather. The lake will be frozen thick enough to skate across (details on how that's working out for new arrivals will be included on the TDM). The hot springs will still be hot and available.
Avalon will be celebrating Winter Solstice. Characters are welcome to celebrate their own holidays, but culturally in Avalon, the main holiday will be the winter solstice. More details to be announced about how that is celebrated, but if you're looking for what your characters will be hearing about / seeing decor for this winter from NPCs, that's it. :)

NEW Housekeeping Updates:

"Non-combat quests" have been renamed to "Assistance Quests"
Posting schedule has been updated to better space out posts so as to not overwhelm players with lots of new info all on the same day. Please review the calendar for updated schedule.
We will keep posting small updates on plurk as they come out, but offer a large monthly summary post (below) around the 28th of each month (it's a little earlier today because we're ahead of schedule this month and I mayyy sleep early tonight) in order to provide a central location for the information as well as provide it for those who may not use plurk as often. This way there is a clear and transparent record and hopefully no one is caught off guard by new information.

November Updates Summary:
11/08/2020:

Avalon mod email was created. If you requested your app response to be received via email, you will receive it from isleofavalon.mods@gmail.com
If you forget to include something on your app submission, simply send it via email with the subject line "App Supplement for CHARACTER NAME" to that email. You do not need to submit a duplicate application. (This will help us a lot to keep track of things and keep everything in one place!)
More specifications about how hiatuses work have been added to the FAQ.
Basic DWRP guide has been added to the FAQ for players who may be new to DWRP. It's not required or anything, but a good resource for anyone who wants it.

11/13/2020:

In the Rules: Alternate means of activity check submission for people who have difficult accessing the spreadsheet (as we were notified there are some challenges with viewing sheets on Apple mobile products). The same instructions are reflected on the spreadsheet.
A note was added to the Received Applications list to detail app processing order and timing.
Specifications were added to the FAQ regarding magical items in inventory and pets. See "Can we bring magical items as inventory items?" and "What qualifies as a pet?" A clarification about item sets was also added to the main inventory question.
To clarify application instructions, after the end of this app period, the application will be updated to create separate questions for familiar and magic choices.
Added a note that we will not be creating an official Discord server to the OOC Mechanics section of the FAQ.

11/20/2020:

Navigation quick links were added to the top of each page to quickly jump to each of the comms and the main navigation. (Will be included under the events banner on events posts going forward as well)
Obtainables Glossary & Potion Brewing to keep track of in-game special items and directions on how to get into potion brewing
Added Obtainables & Potions to the main navigation. Moved Character Businesses link under Locations page.
As stated in the event, information on smart phones, AOL, and MagiCast has been added to the FAQ
Entry tags enabled; players may use entry tags with the format "series name: character name" and enter their own tags.
