Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Tell us about yourself: cat lady that mains healers (tera and ragnarok online mostly these days), plays the occasional rpg, was crazy stupid enough to restart her acnh island awhile back and needs to hunt roswell down again. my schedule varies A LOT but i tend to be active evening/late night EST time. it's 6am i'm still awake.

Character Name (Canon): Seifer Almasy, Final Fantasy VIII
Tell us about them: he's from a SUPER early canon point where he's just an ass but not of the brainwashed torturing his pals and releasing monsters from the moon all over the planet variety. a little abrasive and cocky but somewhere in there he cares about his comrades. a little.

he's CRAU from prisma which was CRAU from zodion (ha) and got a nice little kick in the teeth tutorial of most of the awful stuff he ends up doing later in canon thanks to all the garden kiddies. it's a lot to unpack. he still has dreams of being a knight but trying to be a little more smart in choosing his path there. mostly he's just used to this being a new arrival thing and is a little less resistant to talking to people or helping out from time to time.

Initial Ideas: becoming a knight obviously! he doesn't really know for sure if what he does here makes a difference back home but if he's stuck he might as well do something great with himself. his romantic dream has more of the idealistic adventuring meaning, he'll definitely be down to party up and go on side quests. as long as he gets the final hit and more exp

he's got elemental and green magic (cause he was in garden, training to be a seed. haaaa) and a Torama/Coeurl as a familiar. yeah 8 renamed it for no reason, yeah all the other monsters in that game are weird af and this is what i ended up on.

I can't wait for Katara to find him complaining about how loud the grass is one day and screaming at people to stop stepping on it the next. Love that for him.

But real talk, I'd love to have Seifer and Sakura (or either of my other two girls) team up for a quest at some point.

Tell us about yourself: So um... I like video games and Uncle Scrooge comics. That may sound strange, but uncle scrooge comics are the best! I'm French so my tagging time may be a bit weird, but I usually tag at least every other day (and I try to do it every day unless I'm busy or lack the energy). Oh also I'm a Christmas nut. To me, each years are just 364 filler days and 1 real day.

Character Name (Canon): Ereshkigal (F/GO)

Tell us about them: A goddess who puts too much focus into her work at the detriment of herself. Which is probably admirable for a goddess, but when you see the absolute state of gods in F/GO, she may very well be the only one who tries that hard. She craves validation and while she wants friends, she is pretty much an introvert who trains in front of the mirror so she can try to look cool when she's called. See the gif below.

She also has some self-esteem issues and anxiety issues to work around. That comes with the territory when everyone thinks you're an evil goddess who kills people left and right. But she is very mature and responsible. She is very capable, and excels at her job, she just got E in her luck stat and D in self-perception.

Initial Ideas: The surface world!! Ereshkigal has never been able to spend much time there, least of all during daytime. So she's planning to discover all the things that make the surface world wonderful (and be disappointed in the process). It's a bit more of a long-term plan, but Ereshkigal will also investigate what's the local underworld like and who the local god of death is. She'll want to visit to ascertain the souls of the dead are well treated, but that's something I'll have to ask the mods about and may be a mini-player plot if accepted.

Tell us about yourself: Oh god, where to begin... I'm a mess of different hyperfixations, expect me to yell about a lot of them at any point in time. You'll mostly see me talking about anything I have a journal for, at least, so you can have some form of expectations when you know me.

Character Name (Canon): Aigis (Persona 3)

Tell us about them: One of the few Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons in existence, and robotic Persona-user badass of SEES. She's coming in from shortly after The Answer epilogue, and as for the protagonist she knows... she's coming from the Female Protagonist Universe. Sorry, Blue Boy...

She's a little awkward and still figuring out certain human-things, but she's come a long way, even if her common sense needs a little work here and there, and her social skills are... less than ideal. Still, she's compassionate, loyal, and caring... and what's to complain about a Robot that shoots bullets from her hands?

Initial Ideas: At the moment, what's especially exciting is the CR she'll have with the other P3 characters... since that's a whole ton of drama. Still, Kotone's gonna get her Robot GF so... a win all in all, right?

Other Characters? Sakura Haruno, Katara (CRAU), I'll be dropping Rapunzel.
Tell us about yourself: D&D, FFXIV (mostly a story/sidequest and gpose photography gal), roleplaying (clearly lol), reading, music, and video games are the main hobbies! These eat up most of my time when I'm not working, tagging, or sleeping.

Character Name (Canon): I'ziva Ganajai
Tell us about them: I'ziva is what is known as a WoD, which is short for Warrior of Dumbass Warrior of Light in her world/universe, which is just FFXIV's terminology for "protagonist", but she wasn't always. She used to run with the Rogue's Guild in Limsa, and she runs far more Chaotic Good or Neutral Good than anything else. She tends to roll with what feels right according to her moral code and that leaves a lot of wiggle room for CR since she isn't too fussed with labels like "hero" and "villain". She's here to fulfill all your Dumbass Quota needs, be that someone to enable or someone to do something ridiculous, or someone to get into dumb contests with.

She's pretty laid back and loves discovering new places and adventuring. She's now canon updated to post-6.0, so please let me know if you're avoiding spoilers still for any of Endwalker's content. She makes friends pretty easily and likes to explore.

Initial Ideas:

• People she can annoy but still be friends with
• Drinking and bar-hopping buddies
• Castmates
• People her age (she's in that late 20's range at 28), though all ages are welcome (for gen CR, of course)

• People to have dumb contests with (drinking, arm wrestling, dice or card games, etc.)
• Inevitably people she can prank with her new kinetic (and eventually light) powers...

A weird food combo you like that people wouldn't expect: Ignore Kaity, she doesn't know what she's talking about. BBQ sauce is the ultimate and superior french fry dip. Cultured palettes only.
Anything else: I was here with I'ziva before, but the timing turned out to be really poor since Endwalker was around the corner and things at my job came to a head and blew up in my face shortly after. If we had CR or plans before and you're interested in revisiting them, please let me know!

Tell us about yourself: Tired mom of two, who spends a lot of her free time on various video games (mostly FFXIV right now). I tend to do a lot of my tagging later at night, since that's when the kids are asleep, but will also backtag pretty much forever.

Character Name (Canon): Jullus pyr Norbanus (FFXIV)
Tell us about them: Grumpy teen(-ish) who is often easily provoked to either anger or irritation, but who is a good person underneath it all. Up until its (very recent) effective dissolution, he was part of one of the many legions of the Garlean army, and seems to be still acting in a similar vein with regards to helping ensure the safety of the common people even afterwards. He has also been through A Whole Lot Of Shit recently, up to and including what was pretty much the beginning of the apocalypse and has had absolutely no time to process either that or any of the other traumas and catastrophes that happened prior to that point.
Initial Ideas: Right now, just giving this kid a break - he's overdue for one and also like. Having some time for things that aren't related to either war or the imminent end of the world. He also needs approximately All The Hugs, but is extremely unlikely to ask and might be kind of prickly when it comes to accepting them.

He will eventually be living with Gaius and the assorted others in that household!
