Autumn, despite the chillier weather, is a season of warmth and gathering. Perhaps moreso this year than normal, given the rather unplanned gathering of Celliwig and Lestari underneath Camelot's roofs. Though significant contributions from otherworlders have made food, shelter, clothes and other productions and donations, medical care, security and protection, and childcare an amazing group effort, typical individual celebrations for the departure of the dead from Avalon aren't being held, like Lestari's Death Ball. After looking at all the support they've been given, Lestari and Celliwig have looked at what they have to offer to help both their own people and the people of Camelot and other worlds.

The people of Lestari excel in cognitive magic, and while there are those who use it for mind-altering magics, there is a good portion who dedicate their studies to emotional and psychological support. One such method is the enchantment of origami paper into something affectionately called Worry Monsters: an specialized counseling technique used to help form support bonds between people with negative emotions. Having spent a portion of the month enchanting paper, two square sheets of paper are handed out to anyone the encounter. The first paper says: "Personifying your emotions can give them a tangible form and make them easier to face. Write down something that causes you worry, stress, fear, or sadness. This is your Worry Monster." The second paper says: "When your Worry Monster is present, how does it make you feel? Any reaction is valid."
When both papers are written on, the writing on both will disappear as if absorbed by the paper, then the pages will animate and fuse, then begin to fold into a monster! Halloween is this month, is it not? There is no sense in not having a little fun. These little Worry Monsters will stomp off and begin roaming Camelot until they find a match-- someone who shares those feelings. Once they find an emotional matching Worry Monster, the monsters will return to their creator and grow to the size of kaiju. They are very light, enchanted paper, so even if someone or something gets stepped on, they won't be hurt or damaged. However, they are strong enough to pick their makers up and carry them to the matching monster who will do the same. Don't worry-- characters will be invisible while being carried by their monster, so their identities will be protected until they are brought to their match. The paper monster will turn to butterflies and fly away once their task is complete. What matches do after they are brought to each other is up to them-- but they will know, undoubtedly, that they share the same worries-- they are with someone who understands. Do it as many times as you'd like, for as many negative emotions as your character wants. For finding something to do, Celliwig offers a solution. While Lestari's people have spent their efforts this month enchanting papers, the people of Celliwig are less apt to share so openly. Instead, they take their time learning about a variety of holidays from other worlds, and come to find one they can apply their particular talents to. While most of their showcase in the past has been on light magic, a holiday such as Halloween plays in particular to their talents in dark magic. A number of locations that have opted in and won't interfere with other relief efforts have been enchanted with dark magics for brave souls to venture into and test their courage! What's more, each of these locations will yield tokens for the victors that can be used to gain prizes. All courage tests must be performed with partners. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
	The library has been converted into a haunted art gallery, many of which have had their paints and other implements enchanted. Some paintings will seem like they're watching you, others will seem like a small figure in the background is following you throughout the library in different paintings. A painting of fruit may start throwing the fruit at you and materializing it into real fruit, so you may find yourself pelted with tomatoes if you don't run fast! A single painting filled with black paint might start leaking and filling the room you're in, pulling you into shadow until you're stuck in the library's underground labyrinth. (Reference monthly quests here and here for more info about the labyrinth.)
There are a variety of paintings with different curses applied. Navigate through the library and escape the haunted paintings-- pairs who make it through without turning back will gain a Celliwig Token.
Another token can be gained via scavenger hunt in the Broceliande. Find cursed dolls from within tree hollows. The dolls will giggle and try to run away, may move when they're only visible in the corner of your eye if you set them down. What's perhaps a little spookier is that they take on the appearance of the first person to touch them, though they will never exceed three inches in height. Beware during your search, however, as there are a good many trees that have been transfigured into mimics. Though the mimics are not going to attack anyone, they do have giant hidden, wriggling tongues that will reach up and wrap the unalert up above the ground for capture. The only way down is if a partner fights the mimic, so don't go alone! Find a doll of both you and a partner and make it back to Camelot to obtain your token. The curse will break once they're exchanged for a token, so you can keep the cute little doll for yourself if you'd like.

The last test of courage invokes a temporary blindness hex on one of the partners. Both partners are walked into a soundproofed room, entirely silent in a way that truly seems to mess with one's head. The unblinded partner is only allowed to answer "yes" or "no" questions, though no one will fault them for giggling as long as they give no clues otherwise. The blind partner is to stick their hands into a tank of water with mystery items hidden within. These items may be mere objects like peeled grapes in soggy noodles, or perhaps the tank is filled with chicken bones and those tiny garra that eat dead cells and are sometimes used for pedicures. All the items are set up to feel spooky, but ultimately are unharmful. As long as the partner who can give clues doesn't break the yes/no rules and the item is guessed within 3 guesses, a token will be rewarded!

Bring tokens to the inn where a stall has been set up, with Gwion working the booth to exchange tokens for the following prizes: 1 Token: Celliwig glasswork glass set of 4-- spooky themed! It's filled with candy upon receiving, so they are friendly for everyone. 2 Tokens: Recipe: Smokescreen - Cast this spell on any liquid to make it billow plumes of fog. The smaller the water surface, the smaller the billow. A shot glass might just create a small whisp, but two mop buckets would be enough to fill up a medium room. Will not effect the contents of the liquid. Cannot be used on water bodies larger than a swimming pool (could screen about half a block). 3 Tokens: Recipe: From the Void - Summons a disembodied tentacle from the shadows. It takes a lot of energy, so you could probably manage up to three casts a day at most before becoming exhausted. Great for binding enemies, sneaking in small spaces, and reaching places you might not be able to otherwise. The tentacle will follow whatever command you have in mind upon summoning, so be sure to concentrate on the task at hand!

OOC Notes for Added Prompt: You pick what kind of origami kaiju your character's worry monster is! You do not need to do the worry monster prompt to participate in the second prompt set. Just do whatever sounds fun to you. You do not need to report to mods to claim prizes, just do whichever prizes you think your character would want. He will definitely do Worry Monsters origami to face his grief where he writes about losing family and friends (like James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, Tonks etc.) and being on verge of grief and bittersweet acceptance on it. His Worry Monster will take the form of a griffin.

For the Celliwigan tests, it is back to Libryrinth shenanigans for him again. Feel free to team up with him and he will try to use electricity magic without accidentally singeing anything in the process (although I can’t guarantee that it will be avoided). He will just settle for the glasswork set, nothing too crazy.

Other Notes: The time has come for the ex-Chosen One to face his secret dislike towards Halloween and try to enjoy it outside of Hogwarts for once!

DEFINITELY going with the worry monsters and a bunch of different worries but the ones that come to mind first:

He worries about being too reckless, being a burden and causing problems for others by rushing into things

Gokudera feels guilty that he isn't as just as his Avalonian friends might hope (I'm looking at you Ochako and Aang)

He also worries that his friends are going to be hurt or he'll fail to keep them safe. Basically that he's a poor Guardian (this one applies more to Alberto and Asriel)

Along with worries about his own recklessness, he feels he holds back too much, second-guesses too often, and never takes the leap when he should to do important things. So... procrastination? Nerves? General anxiety? Not sure what to bold here.

As far as Celliwig tests of courage I'm thinking blindness hex and the cursed dolls. I'm cool with him being the blind one, or the one restricted to answering in yes or nos.

Normally he'd stay far away from the Accursed Thanks prompts since he's still a scaredy cat to some degree, death mage or not... but he's a Prismatica CRAU, so he wants that 'From the Void' recipe for questionable reasons (I'm really sorry to everyone who thought he was a decent man). As such he'll aggressively be game for everything: the art exhibition in the library, the dolls in the forest, and the blind mystery item guessing (either role)!

Event Plans: First up, Worry Monsters! Allura has a fine selection of anxieties for you:

A. First off, her worries about facing the choice to return to her original universe or stay here. She likes it here, it feels like actually having a home again — but also, she feels personally responsible for the fate of her entire universe, and is invested in the outcome of the intergalactic rebellion that she started.

B. Behind that is also a healthy dose of imposter syndrome, where even small inadequacies feel huge to her. It's fueling a stressful drive to overachieve as she tries to live up to the literal paragon image of her father.

C. She's also haunted by the fear of abusing her magic. Even though she's grown a lot more comfortable with her cognitive magic, she's seen for herself what horrors can come from having too much control over her enemies' minds. And it's never going to go away, especially since she can't shelve the need to grow stronger (see: worry B). What's ironic is that it's only by cognitive suggestion that she's actually admitting to any of these problems.

Perhaps they can bond over B with their Worry Monsters? Hijikata fears that he'll fail as a leader here since he lacks the core qualities Kondou has (a good heart, unbroken idealism, unconditional trust in his subordinates); would that be along the lines of what Allura's grappling with, or does she feel inadequate in different regards?

Event Plans: I am interested in all of this. Sasuke himself won't want to do the worrygami prompt, but his familiar is going to heckle him into participating. Other characters are welcome to join in bothering him until he caves.

Worrygami: Any of the below worries are available.

• Not being able to restore his clan.


• Not being able to accomplish his goals or get his revenge.


• That Itachi someone from home will show up in Avalon.


• That being in Avalon makes him weak.

Celliwig Tokens: Sasuke wants both of those spells. He wants them real bad. While he normally wouldn't participate in these kinds of festivities, he is going to be super focused on getting enough coins for both recipes. He'll approach people and basically demand their assistance.

All three of the options--haunted art gallery, mimic, and mystery box--sound like a lot of fun, and Sasuke himself won't be too picky as long as it nets him those sweet, sweet coins.

Magic Disciplines: Elementalist with a current lightning bias/preference and eventually technomancy
Event Plans: She's incredibly torn on actually doing the worry monster thing, but will eventually do one or two, especially if others prod her to or if Xilo pushes her a bit to get over her fears.

1. Her biggest fear would be anything about losing control and hurting others by accident. It was a bigger problem back home than it is here, but spending half of one's life afraid of something, as well as being told it's bad, does a number to one's mental state. And because of that...

2. Her second fear that she might not fully know she even has yet has to do with not wanting to go home. She feels helpful here, like she can contribute, and not be an outcast anymore. There's a few people she misses, sure, but the chance of her hurting someone with her abilities is gone too, which she worries might be the 'better' choice to make, even if self-sacrificing.

She would absolutely help out with any of the other fun events though, if someone needs a partner! She would have been around the school and other learning/tech related places, as well as training places, a lot, if your characters might have seen her there. She also would have been trying to help people in the last event, though maybe not actively fighting and more defending or trying to find people, so that's another avenue someone could have met her, or at least seen her, through. Just spitballing!

Other Notes: I'm sometimes an extremely slow tagger because I'm also working and trying to do a thesis, but I'm doing my best to balance everything!

Event Plans: Slowly getting back into things since being on hiatus and not really doing much last month. Not sure if I'll do a top level, but I probably will to get my butt back into the habit.

Worrygami - Crow will find this very therapeutic since he uses songwriting to get some of his frustrations out. Crow's worry monster will take the form of a bird because I'm predictable.

- worries about not accomplishing his goals and having to return to his parent's farm
- afraid he'd never gain his father's approval
- general insecurities about being a good musician and his talent
- dealing with homesickness and missing his bandmates

Tests of Courage - Crow will probably be up for all the trials, tracking down the cursed dolls, the haunted gallery, and even being blindfolded. He's a huge scaredy-cat, but he'll pretend he's brave. Crow will be dressed as a devil.

Event Plans: I'm on hiatus this month, but if someone wants to do a thread and doesn't mind me being slow, I'm open to it.

Ideas for this:
- Worry Monsters: Keith has a lot of worries. He's worried about home, he's worried about not being good enough to lead his team, he's worried about the well-being of his friends... just some ideas. There are more, so, if you're interested, I'm sure we can find something.
- The Celliwig options are all good, but Keith will panic if he ends up being the one that's blinded in that option. He doesn't handle it well if he can't see as that's his primary method for processing information. He's a very visual learner. But, creepy mini-me dolls, weird trees, art that sucks you in and drops you in a labyrinth? Sure. I'm up for it.

Other Notes: I'm half-way through my busy month, but the last week is going to be the busiest. I've already had one weekend of the Trail of Terror, which another to go, and I'm done with NYCC, but I have early voting the week before the US's Election Day, with DerpyCon the second half of that week through Halloween, and then the actual Election Day on the 2nd. I have some time to tag out and play around for this coming week, though, so we can start something up if you don't mind it extending into November. I can't guarantee a thread to qualify for AC, though.

I'm also open to handwaving anything for this month. Keith would have been active anyway, and I plan on just having some ideas in the back of my mind in case anyone asks him about what he's been doing. However, if anyone wants to contribute to that, but doesn't need to thread it out, I'm open to that as well.
