Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Tell us about yourself: My main hobbies are cosplay, video games, and things related to sewing. I'm typically around in the evening (CDT) for tagging Monday through Thursday and whenever I feel like it Friday through Sunday. As far as fandoms go, I'm into Fate/, Guilty Gear, Bloodborne, Yakuza, Touken Ranbu, Fist of the North Star, and a lot of other really random things.

Character Name (Canon): Rider (Sakamoto Ryouma) from Fate/Grand Order
Tell us about them: The hero of reformation, the one and only Sakamoto Ryouma (yes, that one). He tries really, really hard to pretend he's normal, but he's secretly a weirdo (ask him about foreign ships sometime). He has no interest in violence and will always seek a peaceful path wherever possible. He's generally a pretty nice guy, just don't bring up war with him -- he's got some feelings about it.
Initial Ideas: I'm leaning towards having him open up the Sakamoto Detective Agency like he had in the imperial capital event because it sounds like fun. I also would like opportunities for him to use his healing magic and fuck it up spectacularly because what's learning without mistakes...

Tell us about yourself: I'm a marine electrician (boats, not the other Marine) with a work schedule that will randomly decide it hates free time every so often, so I usually end up doing tags late at night PST time. That aside, I like playing video games and pretending like I know how to draw, and my plurk tends to go between stretches of fandom nonsense and work bitching.

Character Name (Canon): Gaius van Baelsar (FFXIV)
Tell us about them: Remember the guy you spent fifteen intimate minutes trapped on an elevator with? While he monologued at length at you?? Gaius is a former general/villain/war criminal and current Very Sad Dad, who recently joined up with the good guys and is trying to make up for the awful shit he was responsible for while he served under the game's trademark ""Evil Empire"". He's also a skilled fighter despite the fact he's pushing 60, and a tanky bastard who lived through having a building blow up around him out of pure spite.

He's coming in as a CRAU from Noctium, which only means that he's been through the whole "dragged to another world" song and dance before and while he's not happy about it, he can tolerate it better than he would otherwise, and he'll just be glad that none of the transformation nonsense he's been dealing with for several months followed him to this world, too.

This also means he's gotten used to the idea of there being multiple Warriors of Light running around, which is still all kinds of Awkward to deal with and therefore means he needs to meet as many as possible.

(and editing to add he's being taken from post patch 5.5/Werlyt, but can avoid spoilers as needed!)
Initial Ideas: Only a few ideas to start with, until he can find his footing in game. Someone (or multiple someones) that would be willing to help him get used to the whole suddenly being able to use magic thing would be great, as he did absolutely nothing to play with his new capacity for magic in his previous game and would have much more reason to learn here. And since I'd love for him to eventually gain knighthood while he's here, making some friends to go adventuring and questing with would be wonderful. Hell, give him sparring buddies. He's going to want to keep from getting rusty.

And please let him adopt some kids while he's here. He needs people he can dad over so his daughter still not being here with him hurts a little less please and thanks ;w;

Tell us about them: Kazunari "Friendly McExtrovert" Miyoshi is just that. He is your hype man and your friend until proven otherwise with a penchant for assigning nicknames to everyone. He's also an art/design major! and fairly addicted to SNS (Instagram especially).

Initial Ideas: I'd like to just start him off with him befriending (or annoying) as many people as possible and doing some artsy stuff? (And later, maybe realize he's falling back on old habits with "shallow" relationships) Confusing folks with his chat/zoomer lingo is also hilarious to me. Otherwise, he'll be helping out with Kaika, of course. I'd also like him to maybe work at Enchantment and/or even set up a makerspace in the future!

Tell us about yourself: I'm usually watching new animated shows on Netflix, and doing shiny hunting in Pokemon games in my downtime. I tag late at night due to work/sleep.

Character Name (Canon): Horse (Centaurworld)
Tell us about them: She's a hotheaded warhorse who comes from a world of devastation and well... war. She's extremely independent, almost to a fault because she won't slow down long enough to let other people help her. She's extremely attached to her human owner and wants nothing more than to be with her. She can also sing and dance!
Initial Ideas: I want Horse to become fully involved in the setting, doing quests and getting in on the action. Maybe people can teach her to slow down and learn to enjoy life too?

Character Name (Canon): Arlo Beauregard (Arlo the Alligator Boy)
Tell us about them: Arlo is a young half-alligator, half-boy who was raised in the swamp. He's very sheltered about the outside world, extremely kind-hearted and always trying to see the good in people. Like Horse, he also does a lot of singing and dancing!
Initial Ideas: I just want him to make lots of friends. He's really good at making friends.

Tell us about yourself: A disenfranchised Anthropologist who is outside in the cold rain. Please take me in and feed me beer. In all seriousness most of you probably know who I am by now. But yes, I am Alex, I've been around journal rp for a while now and it's one o' my hobbies that I feel like I can relax with. I enjoy most of everything geeky and have touched dead persons before!

Character Name (Canon): He is Edgar Allan Poe from the long forgotten movie "The Raven (2012)"

Tell us about them: He's Edgar Allan Poe portrayed by John Cusack, what more do you want? Okay, okay so basically I'm taking near the end of the movie after he done died. Basically the whole premise of the movie is that a killer is using his stories to off other people and lead the Baltimore police on a chase to find him and drag Poe out of his writer's block. He's a depressed alcoholic with a tendency to go into fits of anger. That said he will probably care for (most) of everyone here eventually.

Initial Ideas: Mostly nothing as of yet. Though he's going to insist that he is either dead and in purgatory, or that it's all a hallucination... and when that all falls apart he'll just roll with everything because why not? Expect to see him dissecting dead animals, inquiring over themes of anatomy and other magical, and scientific themes; while also treating people to occasional bout of poetry. Eventually he might open or join a literary group.

What is your favorite type of gemstone or crystal? Personally I really enjoy opals and sapphires~. It's not something I've really put much thought into before taking archaeology courses and having to understand and appreciate the many, different, types of stones that hunter-gatherers use for tool making.

Tell us about yourself: I'm an avid animal lover, reader and I'm a musician (violinist). At the moment, I have no pets, but who knows what the future holds? I take care of a lot of wild animals that wander up to the house, at least.

Character Name (Canon): Xue Yang (The Untamed)
Tell us about them: He is basically Wei Wuxian if you forget that Wuxian has a conscience/big heart and if Wuxian was never taken in by the Jiang sect. Xue Yang had a rough childhood and he has grown up involved in seedy things - which include kidnap, murder, torture and likely other activities better not discussed. He lives to have a good time - and a "good time" is defined, by him, as either getting revenge for his sucky childhood/getting revenge on those who have imprisoned him or risking his life in some death-defying feat. YET... There is a softer side to this demon. He loves candy/anything sweet and in the right environment he can almost be...domestic? He can patch roofs, gather firewood, cook...
Initial Ideas: Enemies, friends, allies, awkward almost-siblings... I'm down for it all. I have a plan for Xue Yang to build himself a nicer life in Avalon. Being away from all the triggers of ancient China will do him good. He can begin to move beyond his hatred and his anger and figure out how to live...calmly. Or as calmly as he can ever manage.

Tell us about yourself: A perpetually tired translator from Russia. If you add me on plurk, I mostly talk about my RP, mental health stuff and complain about work.

Character Name (Canon): Ardyn Izunia (Final Fantasy XV)

Tell us about them: Ardyn is a certified Badmans, here to attack people and have a good time doing it! Though to be fair he's rather lost the ability to actually have a good time a very long time ago, now he's just kind of a crazy, simultaneously self-centered and self-destructive, jauntily ruthless and nihilistically jaunty sociopath. He's also manipulative and utterly lacking in empathy, but good at putting on a front when he needs or wants to. He often acts quite friendly (if patronizingly polite and bordering on creepy sometimes), but it's not genuine in the slightest. Somewhere very very very deep down he still retains vestiges of being A Person, but good luck managing to break through his 50 miles thick emotional walls.

Initial Ideas: Avalon is kind of a nice vacation for him on the whole, and he would be curious to explore it; he likes learning new things! However, restoring time is the last thing he actually wants, so he would also look into ways to, uh, thwart everyone's efforts without drawing too much attention to himself as a villain. He would be likely to lure other characters into traps (and pretend he didn't know something bad would happen), as much for the fun of it as the actual effort to keep time frozen. His priorities would quickly reorient, though, once he learns that his brother Somnus is here: Ardyn is... quite obsessed with taking revenge on his brother, so that will become his main priority.

Straight up I forget autumn is usually nicer in other countries; as far as I'm concerned, autumn tastes of cold mud. Still love it, though. Tell us about yourself: I am PST, I sometimes tag during my work hours if I feel I have enough time during breaks and whatnot. Otherwise, I usually tag in the evenings, although it largely depends on my energy level. I play JRPGs, most notably FF14 and Genshin Impact, I love anime and manga and light novels, currently trying to get through a few of the latter such Sword Art Online, Spice & Wolf, The Devil is a Part-Timer, and Our Crusade or the Rise of a New World. It's gonna be awhile lol. Currently watching Back Arrow and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Also found out I can check out manga from my local library via the Libby app so also reading The Way of the Househusband. Otherwise, hmmm... I work an office job, hours are pretty early in the morning! I'm not good at these lol

Character Name (Canon): Minato Arisato, Persona 3
Tell us about them: This is the game where you shoot yourself in the head to summon a Persona lol No getting around that. Don't worry, the guns aren't loaded or even a real gun. Minato is the battle leader of SEES (Mitsuru Kirijo is the actual leader in general, Minato just leads when in Tartarus). He is quiet, has somewhat of a morbid sense of humor, went from the Emo Kid to wanting to sacrifice himself for his new found family (I'd say sorry, spoilers but he's from after he died so there's no way getting around that particular spoiler), he has a hilariously huge appetite, he is smol but mighty, and he loves music. Please share your music recs with him. He is also has no artistic bone in his body and is incredibly bad at arts and crafts.
Initial Ideas: I know there have been like, two other Minatos in the past (first one I believe used his movie/canon name Makoto Yuki) so idk if any of his previous CR want to retread that ground or not! I'm obviously cool with starting over and/or retconning. And I'm aware that the current P3 cast are all from the female protag's route, so I'm open to whatever when it comes to meeting him (again) and such. Otherwise, I just want to get him out there and making new social links, testing out his alchemy skills and his blood magic, I'll probably be recycling some ideas regarding the latter that I had planned for Prompto so that'll be fun. Hm... might actually get him to have a job for once because unlike the P4 and P5 protag, he didn't need one in his game lol! I dunno, come at me bros!!
