POST TYPE: Game Finale

DATES: Early October
PROMPT BRIEFS

• To the End of the World: Everyone heads to the End of the World and gets juiced up on magic to protect them from space.
• A Horse, Of Course: Mayonnaise helps save the universe by powering Astral Horses to help Otherworlders reach the Calamity via Time Glitch Jumps through Space.
• Leaps and Lights: The horses have survival instincts so they won't take people all the way. Time for platforming with magical slipperiness and magic light.
• Excaliburn: Excalibur is calling you to touch it. Touch option results in your soul getting sucked out into a puzzle room, no touch results in final boss fighting Excalibur's cursed and fractured soul.
• Home: It's time to say goodbyes, time to unfreeze, and you to go home. Or don't. Your choice.

Notes:

• If you would like your character to die, let a mod know! Permanent death is possible outside of Avalon as if the body can't be recovered during the time freeze and time starts again, eventually they’ll get sucked off into the vacuum of space with no oxygen. If this happens, your character can't be resurrected. We will put an “In Memory” note to the pin with the Knights and Nobles of those who die saving the multiverse. Characters will be warned about this before setting off.

Event Plans: Harry is going all in for the final quest. With his life and Knighthood on the line no less. He will be your partner in entering the End of the World (try not to lose your hand while we take off) and astral horse riding (he isn’t judging the horses’ taste of food).

In Leaps and Lights, he can help in making debris move around to get on (and hold onto) and conjure fire to get around. He is most likely not going to touch Excalibur and will fight it to the death because even with a more cautious approach and has TWO weapons with him (polearm and sword) from his knight training, he is still the same ‘jump first, ask later’ idiot who arrived in Avalon two years ago. Or he can join you in solving puzzles while stuck inside Excalibur, whichever you prefer. Either way, he is not going to die as much as possible (though he will get some injuries from fighting cursed Excalibur).

As for Home, he is going to have a bittersweet goodbye and he will be sad to say goodbye to his Pygmy Puff Rose before he goes back to his world. He will going to miss Avalon and the people he has meet through the years.

Other Notes: Somehow I feel that this song feels appropriate for this finale in Harry’s POV.

Shoto's certainly more a combatant, but he can heal if Harry would like him along? If he needs help with Excalibur!

Event Plans:

Homura is definitely all in favor of joining the final battle and willing to bust up as many swords as possible, especially if it gives her the chance to bust out her Crimson Lotus form. Apart from that, open to more stuff, like her helping take people deeper and light the way with fire magic.

As for Home, Homura is gonna need a breather after outputting so much energy. She already fulfilled Morganna's request so she has a plan of returning home to get her team, and head back to Caster's world to help her final battle go more smoothly. Homura does plan on checking in on Avalon every now and then though, partly for more training to prepare for the final boss waiting to wake up back in her world, and partly in case more chaos shows up.

Other Notes: Thank you all very much for the time spent at this game! It did help recharge my RP drive when I thought it was long dead. Gonna miss everyone here.

Oh wow, Homura got busy after her return here..!! That's one hell of a plan. Lucky Caster to have gained such strong backup!

This is a little belated now, and I'm not sure if it would be worth threading out (also since Homura already spoke with Ereshkigal at the ball), but if she were to ask Hijikata why they didn't accept her help with the stone giant quest he'd say that it was a job for death mages - which isn't technically true, but he felt that way and didn't want to endanger anyone else! OOC it was a matter of logistics since threads with more than 3 people are so hard to run!

Event Plans: Hijikata is prepared to go To the End of the World! This close to the end he won't take any risks and will look for a partner to absorb his share of the potion's powers with, as instructed - if there's no volunteer it'll open up the chance for random unwanted thought/feeling sharing! He's from a word with space travel, but going out there on A Horse, of course is something else... but he did learn how to ride on Avalon, so if anyone is inexperienced they can come with him! Also he'll feel so validated about mayonnaise being the all-important magical ingredient to this part of the plan! (Someone may want to stop him from trying it himself before they leave...)

Once they're out there at the site of the calamity he'll provide fire magic and physical assistance to help others get to Excalibur by Leaps and Lights! As for the actual Excaliburn confrontation, hopefully someone will talk him out touching the sword since he'll be needed outside as a combatant... in any case he'll definitely have totems on him to help transport the bodies of the temporarily fallen back to Avalon (and he may send non-combatants with them, if anyone is interested in that)! Beyond that he'll kick ass to the best of his abilities - good luck to anyone who gets him sicced on them by Excalibur's target lock (talk about a pain-in-the-ass boss fight first stage)! The second round may leave him pretty battered (I mean, that's a lot of swords)!

Once everyone can go Home (well, back to Avalon first of all) he'll lose no time following the souls returning to their bodies - and if anyone who got sucked into Excalibur's escape room pocket dimension throne room is without orientation he'll gladly take them along for the ride, being a death mage. Once the flow of time resumes he'll get restless - he can't leave the morons in Edo alone for too long! -, so it'll be one last chance for farewells (also in case anyone wants to say goodbye to Arashi)!

I guess the fated day's arrived, then...? But Shoto can finally keep that promise now, so he'll gladly fight that Excalibur too, and do any healing he's needed for after! And it won't matter if he's a target (if Shoto can handle Hijikata, that should prove he's truly a knight now)!

It's the grand finale and Shoto is a knight for it!! Indeed, being forced to target each other will make for some unexpected drama (though I also have full faith that Shoto can counter any attack from Hijikata)!

Honestly, normally I might just have RNG'd what happens with Hijikata and if he even survives the final mission, but I'm not doing that to Shoto. ♡ He'll get to see his (former) sensei off alive and (ideally) in one piece!

Info: ❄: A kind, gentle, and responsible young man who's whole-heartedly devoted to theater. Smart in a lot of ways, but really stupid in others, to put it as kindly as possible. A good egg with massive grandma energy. (Cognitive + Green magics, spectral dog familiar)

🐇: An 11 year old signed on with Fortuna Entertainment, the agency that's only slightly a front for a world-saving party. Despite her age and size, she's the tank and can handle herself in a fight!! … and also in the kitchen as the Microwavin' Idol, who'll warm up your heart with a press of a button. ☆ (Healing + Light magics, pale bishop familiar)

Event Plans: ❄: No plans for the dramatic bits, as he's 1. not a fighter and 2. buddying up with his boyfriend the entire way. But I'm open for anything related to the Home prompt, or even some backtagging for last event!

🐇: Would Mamori really be Avalon's littlest hero if she's not fighting 'til the end? No specific plans for her either, but if you need a healer/light mage for support or someone in cute bunny armor to thwack, let's do it.

Other Notes: Full disclosure that I'm recovering from burn-out as a result of things on the rl end, so it might take a bit for me to get back on that horse - so if you'd rather handwave things, please let me know!
