QuestBoard is an app you can download onto your smartphones. Each month, people around town will posts jobs asking for help with various tasks like building furniture, running errands, pet sitting, and more. Characters can make a living off of this if they choose to and assume normal day-to-day tasks you would normally find on an app IRL like TaskRabbit. Handwaved tasks do not earn credit toward gaining a title, but the special tasks labeled as this month's 'Top Tasks' in the app will gain clout for your character.

QuestBoard Top Tasks are the ones that are posted at the start of each month. Any character may complete them, even if they seem like a unique task, because time being frozen and magic mayhem are a recipe for weird time pockets resulting in multiple occurrences in the same space. (tl;dr there are no dibs, just have fun.) There are three kinds of tasks, each labeled with a symbol for its type:

= COMBAT QUEST (counts toward Knighthood OR Unseelie)
= ASSISTANCE QUEST (counts toward Nobility OR Arcane Mage)
= SPECIAL (see quest details) Combat and assistance quests are the most common and will appear every month. Specials are tasks that either fit both categories, neither category, or has some kind of exceptional reward. Special tasks are uncommon, so do not expect to see them all the time.

Each quest is worth 1 Rewards point unless your character has achieved Knighthood or Nobility status (See FAQ for more information), which both double rewards points.

Do not reply to this post to do a quest. Just thread out the quest and turn it in as instructed on the Rewards Points (Elphame Traders) page when you are ready to redeem. Threads must be started in the month that the quest was announced, though it may start at any day during the month and you may backtag as necessary. Don't AshenBURY milord

Lord Ashenbury is hosting a party for nobles. This is all in good spirit, there’s even a possibility to donate to local hospitals. The problem is he has quite a few enemies so I’m worried that he might get some unneeded attention. The thing is he doesn’t accept the Knights to help since “they’re not nobles” or something. I mean, I’m only allowed in his mansion for the party because I’m a servant of his. I’ve tried to talk some sense into him but he doesn’t listen (as always).

So, I want you to pretend you’re nobles to get into this party of his (I can easily help, I’m part of the bad security, too) and protect him from possible attacks. There are some people that hold a horrible grudge on him. But I promise, he’s a good guy at heart.

Cake or Fake?

I screwed up big time. I tried to use this cake spell I bought from a fae to make some fresh cakes, but I ended up doing something wrong and now everything in my house is cake. I mean literally everything. Even the whole door is cake!

There are some items that didn’t turn into cake. I know because I found some as I evacuated. But I can’t go back into that house anymore and just want the items that didn’t turn into cake back. You can keep the cake! Just please find my items for me and I will reward you (with money, the cake is just a bonus).

(All the cakes are hyper realistic so they may look like normal items but end up being cake)

Oh, bogger...

A merchant a short journey out of Camelot is begging for help with a creature currently living in his basement. This unwelcome guest is a boggart, a fae creature which can shapeshift and will defend itself against attack by taking the form of its attacker's worst nightmares in order to fight them or to simply scare them away. The merchant is too scared to do anything about it, but some research by anyone undertaking this mission will reveal that boggarts can be captured inside an iron vessel after being weakened either with physical/magical attacks (if you dare) or by using sea salt. After this, exposure to sunlight should force it to flee… just don’t release it near the same place you caught it or you’ll have to start all over again!

KNIGHT QUEST: This quest is available IC only to characters with the Knight title. Knights can invite anyone to complete the quest with them. Recently Camelot has had visitors from the Guinea Pig kingdom. Now these visitors have to be escorted back to their kingdom. Normally they would use their special flying mounts to get there, but it happens to be their breeding season and during that time they are not to be disturbed! So Arthur asks that knights escort these important visitors back to their kingdom.

They also want to make a few stops along the way to gather some ingredients they can only find in these parts of the world. Danger, however, lurks behind every corner for small creatures like them so they must be protected from various predators.

As a reward the guinea pigs are giving the brave knights special sunflower seeds that can bloom under any circumstances and if used as/in food will give the one who eats the food a glow like the sun for 12 hours.

I’ve been running an ice cream store for years now but recently some newbie has opened up a place near mine and is stealing all my business! Help me run them out of town by starting rumours about their food so people won’t want to buy from them anymore! Make a video and post it on the network or just spread it by word of mouth. Either way, send me some proof that you’ve done it and I’ll pay you for it. Oh and you’ll get free ice cream, of course!

I bought a mystery box here on the dark web... and things have gotten strange ever since. I spoke to the person who sold it to me anonymously and he said that each item needs to be sold to someone else in a new dark web mystery box. To that end, unboxing videos are pretty popular on social media haven't they? Take my dark web mystery boxes and sell them to unsuspecting souls for 90% of the profits. All I ask is a 10% fee back so I can recoop the cost of the original...

(OOC Note: Dark web boxes are a YouTube genre of mystery boxes of cursed, dangerous, haunted, or illegal items. Sometimes, they are evidence from crime scenes, often with horrendous backstories. There are also occasionally SD cards or USBs with videos and "clues" to a mystery or haunted/abandoned location. Sometimes, unboxers claim to have suddenly been hacked, stalked, or haunted. In the real world, they're definitely fake-- no crimes have ever been solved because of evidence turned over to the police, etc. But in Avalon, they're very real. :) Feel free to come up with your own contents based on this info, YouTubers you like watching, or reply here and within a couple of days a mod will come up with a list of at least 5 dark box items plus some wild magical drugs.))

That wretched Lord Ashenbury is hosting a party for nobles. That piece of garbage stole my wife! She told me he’s better than me. I’ve never been insulted that way. I bet all he’s good for is his damn money!

Anyway, this party is strictly for nobles. I want you to pretend you’re nobles, go into that party and assassinate him for me. I don’t care how! Poison him! Blow him up! Stab him with a sword! But bring me back a proof of what you did. I accept pictures, but even better if you can bring his ring finger with the ring attached so I can throw it into a fiery pit. At least that would give me something to rejoice, since I can’t go and do the assassination myself.
