The fairy queen is less than pleased, but not angry, with how her quest went. She has Princess Bluebell of the Guinea Pig Nation speak, and Princess Bluebell also has a favor to ask... which seems to be the calm before the storm, as an unknown third party who made off with the Fisher King earlier this month have performed a ritual to resurrect him and left the veil open, letting in untold forces that have engaged in a Wild Hunt... and the prey is Camelot.

Poll Results: The Queen isn't thrilled, but enough people participated and acted in her interest to avoid any ire. (35/71 participants took actions toward the queen's favor in at least 1 option, about half.) Regardless of whether they were right or wrong about the riddle, she does commend those who chose to take at least one action in her favor. (This action had a mildly positive effect on the Queen's view of Otherworlders, but she does not trust them completely. The purpose of needing the quest completed will not have its details revealed openly yet. The Queen may also in the future provide contact to those who have demonstrated trust in her.) It can be used to transport yourself and 1 other person via handholding, but they have to trust you as you cannot tell them where you are taking them when using one. The Trusted Totem will take them directly to Nicnevin's main tree, bypassing the wet entryway. It cannot be used alone, accidentally, or against someone's will. They may also receive one (1) of the following gifts at the player's discretion: (Potion) Countercurse Potion: A potion that reverses curses. (Will have no effect on ritual-enacted curses or advanced fairy curses.) Single use. (Potion) Fairy Flight Potion: Sprout luminescent fairy wings for 1 hour. Can carry any weight. Sparkles will fall out of your wings as you fly, like sand in an hourglass. Single use. (Recipe) Enchanted Golden Rose: The enchanted golden rose causes people to feel at ease with the person who wears it, making them more likely to be honest or share secrets. Giving an enchanted rose to someone may cause intense pining for the person who enchanted the rose until the rose wilts. The base can use any color rose; it will turn gold after being enchanted. It's a recipe, so you can use as many times as you want. -The group who had the answer correct seemed to have a similar even split and the Fisher King himself was stolen by a "third party" because there was no clear forward decision, which does leave the Queen irate.  -Clarent, which was successfully delivered to the Queen, is a nice prize... but she will find use for it later. She has no intention of regifting, as it is considered rude in fairy culture. If someone gives you something meant for you, it is meant for you. (This action may have a future effect on the plot.) -King Arthur, when informed of its previous location and existence on this plane, seems awfully quiet in response but does not openly react yet. (This action has flagged a Secret Knight's Quest for the March QuestBoard.) -The Fisher King was successfully raised from the dead. The identities of those who did it and the location of the Fisher King are currently unknown to the public. The consequences of this action are present in this month's 2nd and 3rd event prompts. It will take place after a slice of life prompt backdated to the regular event time of the 17th, so players still have something to play with if they do not wish to engage in the darker prompt.

This prompt is backdated slightly and takes place on February 18th.

A live broadcast comes to everyone's devices, featuring a rather peculiar speaker. "Attenchun, kindly o-otherwowders! Tis I, Pwincess Guacachia Bluebell of the Guinea Pig Nation of Nowth Elphame. Though our home is too small to be noted on the Laage Neighbow's maps, I asschuwe you I am caulified as Ambassadow for Chween Elphame. Though you had failed her chwuest, many of you have shown the twust she asked fow even if not the bwains. Those who have will be shown gweat gwatichude, but she does feel [squeaking sound of dismay that cannot be translated out of guinea pig adequately] as the Fishaa King's body was pawt of hew pwans to dishmanchle the Cawamidy and didn' want to speach chuday because of it. Evewyone send good wibes and wikes, she won't speak when she's not
[again: squeaking sound of dismay that cannot be translated out of guinea pig adequately]... the Cawamichy won't be ended if you all don't wowk with the Chween, King Awfur's gwaces or notch, you know! But that's none of myyy busy-ness! Elphame offews a rewawd fow the Fishaa King's body now, much to keep you "fat and happy" for many yeaws!    I also have a favew to ask on behaaf of my people. Our Festiva of Life is next week and the usuaw souwce of one of the chey ingwediench of our festiva cakes was a Leschawian, bwessings to them!" As it turns out, the Guinea Pig Nation (all talking guinea pigs who like to dress up in various outfits- in style now in particular is old western themed outfits, but the Princess must always wear her crown) are in a pinch because their Lestari hook-up for the feathers died in the fall of Lestari. They need help to pluck feathers from a bird called the Prism Tweeter! Their people love to decorate the outside of their Festival of Life cakes with their feathers, which are made of finely spun sugar in a variety of colors. These birds are typically found in the first Ash Mountain, but upon its fall, migrated to live in the Forest of the Felled as one of its new, more colorful residents. It only takes one feather to cover a cake, so pluck no more than one feather per bird and the whole flock will go unharmed... the only trick is catching these delectably sweet aviators: The birds can magically phase through physical, non-enchanted objects, so you have to surprise them to grab them. The plus side is, they really love vanilla beans, so they're easy to lure out of the trees.. you don't have to be George of the Jungle to help out the pigs.   More of a stay-at-home kind of helper? That's fine too. They need bakers to make as many tiny cakes as they need for the festival since it's so last minute this year! Hurry up and grab a friend to get to baking 3-layer 1 inch cakes wrapped in rainbow feathers to help these little guys out. The Elphame Traders will make a special trip to Camelot to pick up all of these cakes as a favor to the Guinea Pig Nation, so you can stay at home and bake with your friends no matter where you live. This prompt takes place on February 22nd and February 23rd.
	A few days after the fun and fancy-free stylings of the Guinea Pig Nation ahead of their Festival of Life (you weren't invited, sorry, too big you would destroy their homes- but they appreciate the help!) things are going pretty mundanely. That is, until what sounds like a battle cry is heard approaching New Camelot. On the horizon, what appears to be a massive cavalcade of demon horse-riding wraiths lead by four knights in what appears to be ancient armor rush toward the city. A few of the locals who hear the sound and come out to see what all the fuss is about immediately seem to spook, shouting something about the Wild Hunt. Usually it's something preserved for earth and those who find it will be taken along and dumped either in Avalon itself or taken straight to the underworld, but their presence here in Avalon.. well, that can't be good. The shouting seems to alert the castle, which seems to alert more people, and within a matter of minutes people are being rushed to take cover within the castle walls for siege.
All of Camelot's gates are closed and people are directed to a couple of different places: knights and those who wish to fight are to prepare for battle at each of the gates. Healers who wish to stay and help the wounded are to gather in the citadel, where the injured will be taken. Those who wish to battle and heal will act as field medics to get people into a state enough fit to be taken to the citadel. Those who wish to offer other support may be asked to hand out food and water within the citadel or fetch supplies around the city, or to rush to the library to try to figure out what the hell is leading this hunting party toward them. King Arthur will lead the knights into battle. Merlin will also be assisting in battle, using a variety of magic from atop the castle. If your character gets into a pinch and you aren't sure how to get them out, feel free to have him send a magic spell to block an enemy. Knights given the authority to direct other fighting characters as they see fit (though your non-knight fighter's compliance is, as always, depending on your choice as a player).  Those who wish to opt out of this event entirely will be whisked away by some of the Fairy Queen's spies to Nicnevin for safekeeping. If you do not want your character to remember or acknowledge any portion of this event, we can handwave that the Fairy Queen arbitrarily found your character annoying and put them under a sleeping spell for the duration of their stay. This will be done before the outer city gates are broken through, so your character can be safe the whole time and just chill in a hotel room in Nicnevin. Those who stay will be fighting wraiths (unkillable enemies) lead by four beings called the Knights of the Veil. Those who have rushed to the library to find answers will be able to spread the following information regarding the enemies, though first-hand experience may also be how your character finds out some of it: The Knights of the Veil live in the void between the world of the living and the dead and escaped when the veil was not closed during a ritual to raise a heavily cursed and protected corpse back to life. Though there's no way to know which corpse, recent news of the Fisher King's body going missing leaves some speculation and fear about who it was that was raised, but no one has any idea who did it. The Knights of the Veil have touch-based magic in addition to weaponry which you may have your character afflicted by at your behest. The four knights are as follows: Carlea: Once a proud Queen, she sold her soul to the darkness after her husband was killed by enemies and the prince of the enemy nation forced her to marry him. She used this ability to brutally murder every last citizen of her enemy's kingdom over time in secret and feed them to a pet bear she was gifted by her new husband, saving him for last. Carlea's touch will invoke a curse of famine, causing all food and drink to turn to ash in the touched individual's mouth. Rubion: Rubion was a serial killer in his world known for killing over a hundred people, though the exact number is not known. Who he was before that isn't particularly known, but as a killer, he was known for brutally killing anyone who crossed him in a fit of rage. He was from a time before forensics and tended to kill witnesses, so he was never caught. That is, until he missed seeing a small child hiding under his bed during one of his rampages. The child's grandfather took him in and killed Rubion himself after he found out why the child would not speak for a month straight. It is thought that his own god cursed Rubion to stay in the void where he could not torment his victims in the afterlife too. Rubion's touch will invoke uncontrollable, violent rage and turn even the smallest slight into a mountainous anger. Augusto: Augusto was the general of an army who used the blood of his people's sickly to spread disease in conquering nations. He did not choose to become one of the Knights, instead being cursed to eternal damnation by a priestess in one of the villages he wrought destruction upon. Augusto's touch will inflict a disease of the player's choosing upon their character, at full height of symptoms within 30 minutes of touch.  Pien: Pien is a god of an older religion who was banished from the heavenly kingdoms for loving a human so much she attempted to give her eternal life despite that it was forbidden to grant eternity to mortals. She has a high-and-mighty attitude, and if disrespected will disrespect you right back with dignity-obliterating consequences. Her followers tended to be on the M side of things. Her touch will invoke conscious zombieism, meaning that your body will die and begin to rot despite still being able to move, and you will be aware and able to communicate and feel during this experience.    The Knights and Wraiths cannot be killed by any means as long as the ritual remains in effect and their tie to the underworld is stable, so for the time being this is a heavily unwinnable battle. Thankfully, wraiths are not very coordinated even if they are aggressive in battle so it's easy to dodge, flee, or take cover.

On the second day of the Siege, devices will flicker with a face we haven't seen in some time. She is this world's mother goddess, after all, so if threatened she will come to offer reprieve. Morganna looks almost amused at how much destruction had been wrought by the actions of, truly, one man and those he had strung along. Morganna will not punish nor reveal them, but she will speak on the matter: "Those wishing for this to end, rejoice. I have birthed verbena upon your doorsteps. Take another's hand, light a candle and burn the flowers. Whisper 'lights out' three times together, and pray to send some of your magic to me. I need as many of you to do it as possible, or else I will not be able to freeze time fast enough to stop the calamity from engulfing this place afterward when I complete the ritual shutter."
That is all she says. The ritual won't do much if only one person does it outside of today as Morganna is keeping secret what she does on her end to complete it. If your character's name is possessed by the fairy queen, they will be forced to participate in this ritual so they may notice something odd if they weren't intending to do it. After the ritual is complete, all personal rituals will be voided and need to be recast. (This includes things like brownie summoning spells or the banishing of lesser frost fairies if your character was doing that from last year to keep their house warm.) This will also cause both the sun and moon to black out for about a day afterward, so you may want to get on board with artificial lighting or spells until a party heading to Celliwig to repair that ritual can get out there in about a day's time. The most dangerous ritual that has been broken will be the time freeze. Morganna uses everyone's magic to give herself superspeed to recomplete the ritual to recast it, along with a significant portion of the Isle of Avalon's itself that had been built up in surplus having everyone here for so long. However, there are still 2 seconds in which the massive event that threatens the multiverse can move forward. It is now visible in the sky to the north during the night even without being at the End of the World, and will stay that way for the duration of isleofavalon until the multiverse is saved. It is outright terrifying if you travel to the End of the World now, taking up the majority of the sky. For a month afterward, those who participated may find themselves fatigued without clear cause... but in general, magic will be misbehaving and causing accidents for everyone for about the next month.

OOC Notes: If you want to have the fairy queen have obtained your character's name at any point, please comment here for our reference. She will offer these characters means to repay their "contract" down the line as needed (per OOC discussion). Countercurse potions can be used to remove afflictions by the Knights of the Veil in more immediate effect, but so will the end of the ritual, so consider use wisely!

Event Plans: I've been really absent this month but I want in! Some thoughts:

- I will probably skip the SOL section for this time since most of my backdated stuff I'm working on right now is of that nature!
- For the Wild Hunt, Kadoc would definitely head to the Library to help there, but I am not actually sure how interesting threading that out will be. He's not a combatant or healer so he'd also help out in the citadel or gathering supplies. I'm happy to plot anything involving these interactions!
- He's also a decent field medic, just not a magical healer, so he can help in non-magical ways with some injuries. Or with hurt/comfort. Especially with hurt/comfort.
- Along those lines, I won't be having him interact with the curses personally/receive any of them, but I'd also be down for some nursing the sick. I think I want to avoid rage berserkers, zombies and starving people this time around because sometimes you're just not feeling it.
- He will also definitely do the ritual! He's also a Light mage, so he can help out with magical lighting while the sun and moon are out too, which sounds awesome to me, idk about you.
- We can chat about anything else too, hmu!

Event Plans: (CW since mostly will be doing second promt) I will definitely be doing the Wild Hunt event. Alfonse will be out on the front lines fighting as soon as there's a wiff of danger. So if anyone wants a bodyguard while getting to safety, or someone to watch their backs he'll be there. He's not going to be good as fighting in full form though, he's still adjusting to his powers and whatnot.

Eventually I plan to have him take a hit from Augusto, and contract the Werlyt plague, so if anyone wants to help him get off the field when that starts kicking in, or tend to/heal him afterwards I'm up for that also.

And lastly he'll try to help with the ritual with what little he can, but might have to try to sneak doing it away from the healers. If anyone wants to join him in that.

Event Plans: Who knew trying to retrieve the Fisher King’s body before it got stolen actually did give this guy some favor from the Fae Queen? He will get the Enchanted Golden Rose spell for his effort in addition to the Trusted Totem spell.

Harry will try to help out the guinea pigs in getting bird feathers for cake and since he has kinetic magic, he can try to slow down the birds’ speed and use telekinesis to catch them.

He will definitely hit the library to get some knowledge on the Knights of the Veil and be participating the fighting. While he can’t burn the wraiths entirely, he will sure as hell as give it all his best. Maybe unlocking flight in here so he can avoid the Knights’ touch. The poor guy might unwittingly fall for Rubion’s touch and he will get super angry (despite already having gotten a grip on his anger issues at back home) until someone else can come in to snap him out of it. Please save him from his previous anger issues, even a hard smack in the face would suffice.

He will definitely take the ritual in exchange of feeling tired for most of next month.

The Wild Hunt: Archer will be fighting with swords and arrows, as well as his blood magic. He can also help give warnings and stuff with cognitive magic. Likely gonna make him have Carlea's curse for a while.

He has the spell for Familiar Symbiosis, so if he sees it necessary he'll use that and gain super cognitive magic and communicate with people even furhter. Or confuse the wraith with supersonic or something.

Unideal solutions: She will help with the rituals out of her own will, despite her name being known by the Fairy Queen. She will continue be unaware of her connection to the Queen.

Guinea Pig Up, Pawner: Jean's helping find the birds and get the feathers, as well as make sure the birds aren't harmed. He's hoping animal magic will help.

The Wild Hunt: Jean's a Knight so he's naturally out in the front. He's a leader type, so he will be out there also potentially giving orders.

Jean has taught himself to fight well using animal magic and he also has an enchantment on his sword - a "Sword Beam" which lets him basically shoot a beam when he waves the sword.

However he's also a healer so he will also be acting as a field medic in emergencies. He will be avoiding curses this time around.

Unideal solutions: Other than participating in the ritual, Jean will be helping with providing lights, as he owns Floral Illuminator he carries with him all the time. All you need is some flowers.. so maybe a joint project with a green mage?

Can't stop him from trying, right? He will be inflicted by the Rubion curse ... uhh... and try to siphon magic out of people? Idek. He isn't a fighter, so his rage comes in a strange form.

Unideal solutions: He will participate in the ritual out of his own will, despite having his name known by the fairy queen. So he will continue to be unaware he's connected to her somehow.

Event Plans: I'm super new here and haven't posted anywhere yet so I'll def be hitting up this event! I don't have any super locked in ideas, but with magic going nutty, I think it's pretty natural to expect something nutty happening around Doppo.

I think the feather catching bit will be something I'll top level, with guaranteed possible slapstick abound~

I'm down to write cake baking too. Doppo's more of a helper in that kind of setting. Let him whip that cream or mash those cherries or w/e. It'll be cute and stress relieving for him.

For the Wild Hunt, I'll prob tag out? With Doppo wanting to help others who need it...and at the same time, try not to slow down those that do not. He'd be helpful with his abilities here, I think.

Event Plans: This turn of events is absolutely incredible. Hijikata will hate it, but I'm cackling. Kudos to our mods for allowing things to go haywire like this!

Hijikata is really handicapped right now since he was poisoned by the person whose Roast Pork quest he outed himself as having ruined, so he can only go out at night anymore. He'll be aggravated at Guinea up, Pawner - being woken up (since he sleeps during the daytime now) by a guinea pig broadcast isn't his idea of a good start into the day! He'll be disgruntled over Princess Guacachia's admonishment to work with Queen Elphame, and very alarmed that the body of the Fisher King was stolen. In the end he won't help the guinea pigs despite living in the Forest of the Felled since he assumes that the birds are active during the daytime (and because he's a sucky baker).

Due to his predicament he'll only join the fight against The Wild Hunt after the sun has sunk (yes, he'll kick himself hard when he realises what's been going on!). Once he does, though, he'll fight on the frontlines of the battle, probably using his Familiar Fusion to amplify his death magic (if that even helps against the wraiths). Of course that'd mean that he'd be out cold for a day after an hour of fighting, so if things go that way would anyone be willing to store him in their basement (or somewhere else where the sun won't shine)? Also anyone who wants to join the battle but needs direction can fight under his command!

The four monarchs' curses are all godawful, so it's a tough decision which one(s) to hit Hijikata with... I may just RNG it or something (unless someone would specifically like to deal with a hangry/berserk/sick/zombie samurai)! He does have a Countercurse Potion, but he'll probably only use it if he gets zombified because that's just too scary. Also he's already a weredog, being that and a zombie would just be too much! Of course if a siphoner helps him out he'll be grateful.

Of course he'll participate in the Unideal Solutions ritual - would there be any volunteer to hold his hand for that?

Other Notes: In case anyone is curious, Hijikata wanted King Arthur to receive Clarent, having found out that it belongs to him, so he can't believe that it ultimately ended up in Queen Elphame's hands... he's really doubting if most of the others know what they're doing (as if he always makes good decisions)! As for the Fisher King, he thought it would be best to leave him where he was, fearing that he'd only ruin whatever place he'd be moved to, but would have been content to hand him over to Queen Elphame since it was her who allowed his burial in his last resting place.

But anyway, her sword is a ... sword, imagine that, but it's also a whip and her way to jump over long distances since it works for that too. So if anyone needs like help from getting away from some bad situation in the middle of all of this, she could jump in there, grab someone with her and use that sword thing again to get both away from there.

He can't use it up there, and it can help Crow grab "frozen" civilians out of the way of "frozen" wraiths or whatnot, if you'd be interested in that.

• So! First of all! Izō is yet another person unfortunately roped into helping! (oops)




• That being said, I figured I would outline general plans surrounding the event since I'm thinking I won't top level so I can be more flexible.


• Izō is not pleased to have been partly responsible for all of this, so he is definitely going to attempt to murder Ardyn at some point lmao.


• I'm open to discussing anything potentially coming out of being found out that he had something to do with this because I know some characters get heated like that~


• He will be a front-line fighter because he feels a degree of personal responsibility and will atone for it in his own way at great personal risk and probably needs to hack away at some unkillable mobs until he feels better. (: He will be sticking close to Ritsuka and Ryouma, so it's possible to run into him during the fighting but he's going to be very overwhelmed distracted. (: (:


• Since the mods left it up to us, Izō will have an un-fucked up time (kinda) this event since he had a bad time of it with the werewolf curse and now has to deal with the consequences of his actions. So! No curse for him! The comfort side of your hurt/comfort scenario if the potential for ridiculous failure and awkwardness is comforting to you.


• I do want someone to do the ritual with him and would be interested in threading it out! Normally, if he was gonna participate in something like that he would have helped out Ryouma but that's not going to be an available option this time, so he might be desperate(?) enough to seek out close CR or deal with having to make human contact with whoever in order to participate. If he hasn't embarrassingly publicly confessed by this time, one might wonder why he's desperate?


• That being said, he's had Strong Opinions about the dragon killers remaining anonymous previously, but this is also different because that sure wasn't what he wanted to happen so he's going to be watching the network. He could be potentially goaded into outing himself because he's bad at this.


• There will not be any SOL aside from if someone wants a fluffy thread because... yes I will always provide fluff.

Event Plans:

Guinea Up, Pawner: Klaudia is good at illusions and invisibility specifically, so she'll be plucking a few feathers in the woods. I'm down to have her run into others that are doing the same. Teamwork? Competition? Interference? It's all on the table! She's not a very good cook herself yet, but she *is* a very good helper. That's her contribution to the baking portion of this.

The Wild Hunt: Klaudia is going to be fully in a support role, initially going to the library to scrounge up information. After that, she'll be darting about the field with her invisibility and whatnot, trying to repair any damaged fortifications with alchemy and dragging wounded parties off of the field. Since she's staying out of direct conflict (or trying to, rescue anyone?), I'm leaning towards no curses for her, but she's here to transport anyone or anything as needed. Current CR status doesn't matter, she'll be fully focused on her "job" and won't care how she feels about the person.

Unideal Solutions: Klaudia will be doing Morganna's ritual, obviously. She doesn't need a magical compulsion to do everything that Morganna tells her to do. She's got eyes, yo. But yeah, she'll be putting her energy towards that and towards making light for the city while the sun and moon are out. She's going to be exhausted and might just take a few power naps around town for the next few weeks. Home's too far away, she's sleeping under a table in the library, etc.

Event Plans:

Guinea Up, Pawner: Sizhui is happily going to help these adorable guinea pigs with their baking. He'll also help anyone else who needs a hand. He's good at following instructions, and he loves company.

The Wild Hunt: Sizhui has a moderate amount of combat experience. (He's got a sword, he can use it! But he *is* still in training.) More importantly, he's a Siphon mage, so he'll be doing musical curse breaking on/off the field, if he can get to people that need it. He'll be helping anyone that he comes across, so don't worry if they haven't had CR before! Additionally, Sizhui has had some bad experiences in the past regarding sieges, and those memories have been gradually coming back to him. So there's also the possibility that he's going to have a Rough Time of this and need someone to shake him out of his thoughts.

Unideal Solutions: Sizhui is eager to stop the siege, so he'll take whatever help is offered--including from Morganna. So it's a month of fatigue for him, too. Other than that, he'll be trying to help clean up after the battle is resolved and searching for any injured that were missed.


Other Notes: I've hit a lull in energy (it's winter, what can you do), but I'm trying to move myself into an upswing. If I'm slow with tags, I apologize. I'll backtag into forever as compensation. I'm also not planning on making a top-level this time around unless it's for closed/planned threads, but I'll happily tag into anyone else's if you want some CR!
