Definitely can be done. One of Hawk's own skills has him use his wings. Probably the easiest way to do that and keep it light on spoilers would be a Grimwald Nox battle. It would take them to an alternate plane and Gaius might be weirded out by the two red moons, but there's loads of monsters to fight.
