obligatory "hold it!" joke goes here
Hey, Avalites, I'm Alex and I'm here with legendary prosecutor and all-around stand-up guy Miles Edgeworth. You may have a slight familiarity with him on account of some memes about men in primary-colored suits pointing and shouting at each other a lot! Good times.
Edgeworth is from Ace Attorney, or as Chief Justice John Marshall once famously put it, "It is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to have absolutely zero consistent standards about what the flying bugfuck hell the law is." He entered the series with a perfect record of guilty verdicts and not a whole lot of qualms about how he went about securing them, but wouldn't you know it, reuniting with the protagonist put him on a character development arc of reevaluating what exactly he was doing with his life, and ultimately deciding to become a better person because of it.
On the day to day, Edgeworth is serious, intelligent, logical, and socially awkward, which is why I'm looking forward to making him hilariously miserable in his new circumstances. On the other hand, he is kind of a covert nerd with a good heart and a strong sense of justice underneath that cool exterior, so there's that too. Also he likes dogs? He's actually arriving with a dog of his own. Dogs are pretty great.
His familiar is a Phoenix, which he refuses to acknowledge as such because none of you have unlocked his level 4 backstory yet, and his magic proficiency is in Cognitive magic, because what better way to conduct an investigation than touch an object and know everything about it.
I do have a plurk, but I'd prefer to have CR in place before adding people, so if you need to contact me, the best way is by shooting a PM to
jurisprudence or just commenting here! Please feel free to hit me up for plotting, CR, or just plain shenanigans — I'm really looking forward to being in the game!

Harry is already familiar with phoenixes thanks to Dumbledore’s phoenix Fawkes and I can really see Harry wanting to be friends with said phoenix. He will die for the precious phoenix.
