Event Plans: Surprise Welcome: It sure doesn't get boring here! Hijikata is actually going to be concerned that Camelot passed Celliwig's trials this time (if barely), since that means they must have turned towards the dark side more... but what can you do. I think I'll make an exploration prompt because there's a lot to see (and, maybe, buy)!
Summer solstice: Hijikata will likely decline to drink from the fountain, just to be on the safe side, but he'll go along with the ritual because, well, they do want contact with Elphame. So he'll be ready to give someone a piece of him and receive one in return in the cavern, only to toss it into the lava. Once the steam starts up he'll try to get his exchange partner or whomever else out of the area safely (dramatic near-death experiences optional!). In the cenote he'll want to keep watch rather than go for a swim, but eventually he'll be pulled into the musical number... if he finds a partner for that it'll be cute, but otherwise chances are everyone will get a Gintama opening song from him. I may make an extra prompt at the hotel so he can discuss the events of the day with his roommates, if anyone would like that!
Raging Waters: Despite wielding death magic Hijikata hasn't dabbled in possessions and possession prevention at all, so at the most he might be able to try and argue with the spirits... that said he also has his fire magic, so he can warm up people who has ghosts pass through them! Also he may well fall into the usual trap of being lured by the face of a loved one (as if the siren encounter didn't teach him!). Well, chances are he'll be quicker on the uptake this time around if nothing else. Likewise he can save others from that same fate if he sees them rushing towards the rapids!
