Hello everyone! As per the poll results, from here on out we will be posting an OOC intro at the start of our processing apps, with multiple reminders on plurk to check it out. In addition, as per suggestions commented to the pool, we will be linking this in Acceptance Messages and on the most recent Test Drive Meme.

OOC Intros


Welcome, new players and old players with new characters! This is the OOC Introduction post, made specially as a gathering place to meet and greet and get to know each other and our characters! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. You may do it any way you like or, if you're a fan of structure, please feel free to use this handy dandy copy-paste:

Don't forget to mention if it's OK for people to add you! <b>Pronouns:</b> Whatever they are, please include them so everyone can be respectful of who you are. <b>Tell us about yourself:</b> Hobbies, favorite times to tag, pets, quirks, favorite times/styles to tag, anything you'd like us to know. <b>Character Name & Journal:</b> Character name and journal here! <b>Tell us about them:</b> Give us a quick little introduction of your character, no more than a paragraph, to let us know a little about them. This will give people an idea of maybe how they can plot with their character and yours depending on potential interactions, but it also gives you a chance to gush about them to everyone. (We know you want to!) <b>Initial Ideas:</b> We know you're just getting started off here so you may not have any solid goals for where you want to go yet, but let us know if there's anything you're looking for to start off with! Types of CR, parts of the setting you want to play with, magic you want to have your character have a disaster with, whatever floats your boat. <b>Favorite Food:</b> This section is going to change for each OOC intro, we just want to put something fun each time. :) This time, put your character's favorite food! <b>Anything else:</b> Permissions, opt-outs, shitposting, etc.

It has, but this was a good fit so I ran with your rec! I'll definitely say your friend is on to something because Ys would be right up your alley. I admit, not too sure how well our characters will get along but I'm sure Hawk will join up for some of those combat quests.

I think Bennett might be able to win him over, based on your comment about him respecting strength! He's a character who was dealt a very raw hand by life, and continues to keep drawing bad cards, but even though it gets him feeling down sometimes, he keeps persevering and making the best of things because he's got a dream and desires he wants to fulfill. He's kind of a naive shounen dumbass but he makes his convictions and strength of character pretty clear when you get to know him.

Yep, Hawk does respect strength of all sorts. His preferred is strength in battle and people who can give him a good fight, but he also can respect the strength it takes to put up with his hostility and not run away in terror or the strength of mind that is needed to match his intelligence. That's another part of why I think a game will work so well because he'll be around more extraordinary people rather than people who bore him and run away screaming when they find out who he is. I mean in his canon people tend to shit themselves just seeing a Monstrum. It's funny, but it gets lonely too.
