Hello! I'm Shannon (though feel free to call me Shan or Grey since there's already a Shannon here and names can get confusing!) and I'm bringing in my OC Haru Nakamura, though she'll be going by Ruby for paranoia issues (also she just likes the name). She's coming in with a Fox Spirit familiar, a pet crow, and animal magic!

Ruby here can be a little paranoid and distant, but I'd love for just about any type of CR with her. Her Familiar is happy to be the cause of meetings - it's one of his goals in life - so please feel free to request fox-spirit shenanigans! She's (as far as she knows) still in a cult back in her world, but since none of her peers are here she's going to get lonely and find herself reaching out for human interaction, whatever form that may take!

Speaking of cults... Ruby's backstory has some not-so-kind stuff going on in it that may be triggering or just plain uncomfortable - cult abuse, child abuse, child death, kidnapping, and other similar subjects! - so if you'd like to opt out of any specific topic or all interaction with her, feel free to let me know in her Opt Out Post.

Hey Jax! It's nice to meet you too! :D I look forward to playing with you! If you're okay with it, it might be fun for Alice and Ruby to meet, because Ruby comes from a world where the Alice in Wonderland books are real, however, Ruby actually mostly knows of the character from vague local-ish pop culture stuff, and the confusion might be amusing! That said, if that's something you're not interested in, I'd be more than happy for Ruby to not make the connection and be all 'Oh cool. She has the same name as the maker of those dresses from those books'.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you give Aurora animal magic? If so, that might be fun for them to talk about, as Ruby's been able to communicate with animals all her life, and while it's been a long time since I saw the movie, I think Aurora can commune with animals too?

I don't mind either girl being recognized considering how big they both are in pop culture. Just so long as characters aren't like "oh hey, you're Alice from the books!" they are more than welcome to realize who they are privately.

She does, yes! It's why Aurora didn't notice any difference when she got to Avalon since she had that back home. But now she has the added benefit of turning into an animal too with practice!

I am so happy for her. She deserves to be able to become an animal!! Ruby has noticed a downgrade, since for her animal communication is psychic, and she could talk with a number of animals at a greater distance, but she got to come with her crow friend, so she's cool with that.

Todoroki's not too talkative, but I hope they'll meet! It's nice to meet you too, though! I'm CM.

All crows are good crows. Maybe her crow friend can hand out with Aurora's Euroasian Eagle Owl.

Hello CM! :D Maybe they'll be able to team up in a fight if talking isn't Todoroki's thing. Ruby is kiiiinda a child soldier, so while her magic currently doesn't lend to fights, she knows how to use her lighter and her knife quite well! :D

Agreed 100% re: All crows are good crows. Ruby's crow friend may be a liiiiittle anxious because that's a big predator, but with some coaxing from Ruby he'll calm down and just chill with this bird that is much larger than him.

Fighting, he can do! But he's a good listener, and sympathetic most of the time, so he wouldn't mind being back-up at all.

:thinking: I wonder if they could meet while fighting on the same side, and then form a friendship over time. Right now most of her talking is limited to 'ANIMALS ARE SO COOL' but eventually she's got some Backstory Stuff she may be willing to talk about, and I feel like they could possibly have a conversation about bad dads.

(all I know about Todoroki is that his dad is awful, and that Todoroki himself is a good boy. I really need to watch more of the anime!)

I won't spoil much, then! His father's trying to change, for the most part, and Todoroki's forgiving in bits, or meaning to. It's a long process, and for sure, he'll listen if she wants to talk! He's learning to work with others, too.

I mostly read manga, so I might be further ahead, so I'm being a little careful wording things! But I'm really excited to meet her, now!
