Morning all! Joining the introduction train, I'm Gail, and I'm bringing you Jack Benjamin from a single-season show from 2009 called Kings. He's the crown prince of the royal family (or he was before he tried to take the crown and he failed, oops) in a modern monarchy modeled after the story of David. He's kind of a bitter asshole unless he likes you, he knows how to make nice if he needs to, and he's Very Sad in general he's just very good at not showing it.

His familiar is a butterfly (the sign of favor from his country's deity) and his magic is turning him into an actual Disney Princess by letting him talk to animals. Thanks, he hates all of it!

Hey I’m Mari. While I’m not familiar with the show, I’m fully aware of the story of David from the Bible and I will play Harry Potter in this game. I can imagine Harry going to try to help Jack and the two being at each other’s throats at times like bickering siblings, LOL! He is so giving off Malfoy Vibes to Harry over here.

Honestly, passively familiar is more than I'd anticipated XD That's probably about the level of familiar I am with Beastars, to be honest, I've only heard about it through fandom osmosis, I think someone had a discussion once comparing and contrasting it with Zootopia.

Frankly, Jack is going to hate every minute of the whole "talking animals" thing, but I still think it's a good fit for him :3 As much because he can learn to use it as because it amuses the hell outa me.

I definitely need to toss him and Louis together again! They seem like they could work well together.

You know what, that is a very valid take. Jack could easily be a (slightly more nuanced) portrayal of the same tropes as Draco Malfoy. So I very much look forward to seeing how he and Harry interact :3

Beastars is similar in many ways, tbh. It has the aspect where the target audience is definitely adults so
