Hi all! I'm Candace, and I'm bringing in Nero from Devil May Cry 5, that game from that franchise about sassy demon hunters, corny one-liners, and killing things as stylishly as possible. Nero is abrasive, sarcastic and can have a short temper, but he's also basically the definition of "cinnamon roll who looks like a sinnamon roll" as he's very protective of the people he cares about.


Nero's familiar will be a Geryon, a demon horse (which can't control time in Avalon, but still useful as a not-so-noble steed...?) and he'll have access to kinetic magic. Since DMC5 Special Edition just dropped yesterday/tomorrow on PS5, if you're still playing through the game for the first time and would rather not be spoiled, feel free to let me know here or over on his permissions post.

Nice to meet you Candace! I'm Tai, and I'm playing this spoiled prince, Noctis, from Final Fantasy XV. I was so excited to see Nero on the TDM but didn't end up being able to tag him. I used to play V in another game, so I'm extra-delighted to see him here!

Hi Tai! I play V in another game myself so I'm always happy to see others give him some love 🙏 and I love Noctis, he's a fun choice for this game given a bunch of his stuff riffs off Arthurian mythology.

Absolutely! When I heard the game was opening I really wanted to bring him here; especially since I took him from the end of chapter 13, so he can be prepared to take a bit more responsibility and all that.

Hello, it’s Mari and I offer Nero Harry to be his fellow kinetic magic user and a possible little brother figure he will want to look after because Harry has a tendency to jump into things without thinking twice and his trying to do things on his own.

Don’t worry though for Harry is not all hormonal teen angst since he is a really good boy who wants to help out and is one of the loyalest persons you’ll ever know. This is going to be a great time.

Hi Mari! Nero does have a habit of adopting people and/or getting adopted, so that's definitely on the cards if their CR happens to go in that direction. Harry was one of my favourite protags growing up so I'm looking forward to getting to play with him here o7

Yes of course, Nero is going to be best dad/brother figure to Harry for sure: the poor kid has seen many adults who do love/care for him died in canon, precious bean will take all good adult role models the universe has to offer. I hope he doesn't mind having to tell Harry not to get into action on a whim nearly every single time though.

He's only a few years older so we'll go with big brother figure, haha. Nero's also the type to... do dangerous and impulsive stuff when the situation calls for it, but hopefully he'll be a good influence otherwise. :')

Hey, Candace! I'm Alex, and while I'm completely canonblind to DMC5, I do love me some corny one-liners so please feel free to troll Edgeworth with them to your heart's content. I've heard a lot of good things about DMC from friends, so it'll be a lot of fun to see what Nero gets up to in-game!

my favorite part of his stupid familiar joke is the fact that it puts him in a total catch-22 because he doesn't want to acknowledge that he knows exactly what it is but he ALSO doesn't want to give the impression that he's unintelligent enough to NOT know what it is. the mental gymnastics he's going to have to do to get around it would win him the gold in any olympics.

Anyway I just googled DMC5 and I think they're around the same age? That might be enough to get CR rolling, honestly, WHERE ARE ALL THE ADULTS AROUND HERE
